Combination of "fuckhead" and "retard". I use it all the time describing the people I work with. Good word.

this one is dedicated to jaypfunk, with love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sT2DVFb534c

& don't feel sorry for me Ed Organus Maximus,
I was expecting haters that were going to hate these mashups ....
... I was also expecting somewhat more open-mindedness from Zappa fans
but I did receive some much appreciated encouraging/kind feedback to make up for jaypfunk's gratuitous & aggressive obnoxiousness
& other's (comparatively) more gently put negative opinions about my stinky mashups, so I'm OK :smoke:

peace,

No one is "whining" about anything. I merely stated the opinion (more like FACT) that you are gratuitously aggressive & obnoxious. And that's it.

much love,

OK, that's not exactly it ...

I actually believe that somewhere deep (or not so deep) underneath your spiky shell,
there's a very sensitive (& probably repressed) little child who may (or may not) cry himself to sleep sometimes

ain't that peculiar ? hehe ... everyone gets a trophy

That last one is even worse than the others, Holy shit!! How dare you ruin the greatness that is Black Napkins by just slopping a bunch of vocals over it? It's terrible and it sounds like a fucking mess of crap. My last bowel movement had more talent in it than your copy/paste mashup garbage does.

I'd rather have a thousand flying jackasses farting and shitting in my face than have to listen to that.

I didn't ruin the greatness that is Black Napkins :

see ?

it's still intact, in all its glory, with the interview & all

thanks for the feedback though ... "honey, you do me wrong but I'm still crazy about you"

To quote JPFunk, STFU! Don't get him started again. It looks like he got bored and went away. Shhhh...
Thanks NicHoLai, I agree with you.

Thanks NicHoLai, I agree with you.

you could've said that of any one of Zappa's songs/instrumentals, NicHoLai

I don't believe that Frank himself would've accused me of sinning against his work with these mashups,
& I like to think that the result of this spontaneous cyber-collaboration would be (is) cool with him too :

so I'm cool :smoke:

Frank would have said "what can you do that is amazing?"
Well? Huh??

(you mean "fantastic" ?)

well, I'm not sure if that was a rhetorical question or not, but since you asked  :

thanks to a system of my own design, I can sing a synthesizer, an alto sax, a violin or a string ensemble & a flute, in real-time,
& receive delayed harmonized (& or arpeggiated & or reversed) responses/canons on bass clarinet, oboe, trumpet,
more strings, a choir, piano, vibraphone, marimba, tenor, bouzouki (all chromatically deep-sampled 'virtual' instruments)
& simultaneously accompany that 'virtual' orchestra on drums ...
& percussions too since my e-drumkit triggers both an acoustic kit
& a special percussion canon/sync-delayed response
(on congas, pandiero, timbales, tambourine & cymbals) in "Soleares & Carceleras" here :

(you can read more about this project in english in the description below the 2nd excerpt in this playlist)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OoFqomj ... s7D2LA06Tv

I don't know if that can be qualified as "fantastic", I guess you be the judge
but yes, I think that Frank would've found it, at least, somewhat interesting
it sure is to me, it's a fun interactive system that can provide modal/rhythmic environments
to be explored & interacted with by musicians (in this case unrehearsed),
I created this system as a way to interact with my peers by producing live space/times
where/when improvisers can meet

I can also improvise (sketches) on the piano (that's how I'm learning the instrument, on the spot)
& turn them into compositions (paintings) like these :

(I know that Frank had a cynical viewpoint on what one generally calls 'love',
& these might be a tad too 'romantic' for his taste,
but hey, I'm only human ! ;) )

https://taotekid.bandcamp.com/track/my- ... -with-love

https://taotekid.bandcamp.com/track/fantasy

& I like to think that Frank may have liked my orchestrations/arrangements
(from pre-existing midi scores/transcriptions) of Debussy's pieces too,
like this 1st part of his string quartet, on which I enjoyed playing drums :

https://taotekid.bandcamp.com/track/in- ... ussy-remix

this last part of "Children's Corner", on which I played the drums

https://taotekid.bandcamp.com/track/chi ... ebussy-rmx

or his last part of "Pour le piano", Toccata, for which I programmed the drums & allowed myself to solo a synth on top :

https://taotekid.bandcamp.com/track/toc ... ussy-remix

& maybe Frank would have liked this slightly prog-rock-esque & drum'n'bass-ish electronic vs. acoustic drums freestyle 'battle' :smoke:

(I programmed/generated the electronic drums & played the acoustic ones (on my e-drumkit)
&, to be frank  & tell the whole truth, I actually recorded 7 beats-per-minute slower
than the current tempo, Frank quite often did that on much bigger scales,
so I guess I'm allowed to do that too & make myself sound a bit like an "amazing" drummer  )

https://taotekid.bandcamp.com/track/emergence

I don't know if Frank would've liked any of that, I can only hope/imagine,
but maybe some of you will like some of that ...
thanks for asking :)

peace,

FTFY ! by the way, have you tried this spontaneous cyber-collaboration in question ?
it might not be fantastic but I think it's quite nice : https://app.box.com/shared/org9phtl3f if I may say so :smoke:

You should compare yourself to Zappa. It will only give you a better perspective.

that ^ I sometimes do (in the secret of my heart)
& I find myself humbled ("caused to be meek or modest in spirit") & inspired

I heard that beauty is a rare thing ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCLKhZmIaXw )
that's in the eye of the beholder,
but I can certainly see its brilliant radiance emanating from Zappa
("Strictly Genteel" moves me to tears just like it did Theodore Bikel in the finale to 200 Motels,
he was not faking/acting one bit  that's beauty right there  )

I believe that we're also all mirrors to one another,
(& like mirrors, we're supposed to reflect  )
& we should learn from (& care for) each other to get to know/accomplish oneself :)

peace,
