maybe we should give a top 5, that would make things more 'scientific', and it would enhance the chance of naming more of the same songs. just a thought for a next poll or so.

It should have been top 5 or top 10. Maybe we should have a do-over.
A "do-over". How about a Florida style recount?

To add to my initial choice, I nominate "Flower Punk", not so much for the blatant destruction of all things Hippie, but rather the hilarious subtleties:

- The fact that the whole band joins in during the repeat of each initial line, in some off-centre tone

- The end collage of random statements from Zappa, specifically, "GOLLY I HAVE SOUL!" ;D ;D

1. Dummy Up (Roxy: "You mean, if I smoke that it's the same as if . . . as if I went to college?"/There is a "Room Service" thing on Dub Room Special that's really funny too: "Well I must be in 4-5 then and Duke must be in 4-3 . . . the way Marty books all the orientals in the group . . . " and "No, not the kidney.")

2. In France

3. The Chad/Ed Mann electroinc drum solo on Big Swifty from Make a Jazz Noise Here ("Thank you very much; good night").

Another instrumental that makes me laugh: We Are Not Alone. I don't know why, but that baritone sax amuses me.

VCF
