I have a  promo LP of One Size Fits All that comes up with a DisReet Records booklet (you read 'August 3, 1974' on it). And in the booklet, on page 2, you can see 2 photos of FZ in New Orleans, one with FZ and his musicians, and on the second, he holds a guitar (Gibson SG?) and he's with... Johnny Winter Image<br>I didn't know he met Johnny Winter, a musician I really like. Do you have info about this? Tell me, tell me

The only link I know of is : A photo with FZ & JW in Creem magazine on the 10th anniversary of Frank being in the biz (1974). Frank and Johnny are holding a huge guitar, my guess is the pic was taken in early '74--mag was from December, I think......I'd go to Zappateers.com, look under "scrapbook" and check out magazine scans, the whole Creem article is in there.

In an unrelateted moment, i was at a JGB show in 1992 when Johnny Winter walked passed me in the crowd, on his way back stage.  I patted him on the back and said, "Play the Blues, Johnny!"<br><br>Johnny replied, "Right on brother."<br>

There is some great guitar on Second Winter, a two disc three sided early 70's album. Memory Pain is one of my favorites.

Stride--that pic musta been done during the same shoot as the one I'm talking about! Only Johnny has his hands on the fretboard and Frank is strumming...and you can see a young blonde in the background. In any case, thanks for the photo! ;D ;D

I've seen Winter about 4 or 5 times. He is nothing like his lps live in concert. He's way better live!  ;D
