Interesting enough, today I listened to my brand new copy of Lumpy Money. to tell you the truth, I am dissappointed in much the same way as I was with the Freak Out 4 disc set. My complaint is, I overpaid. I am having a hard time understanding why I need to hear the same song multiple times on the same disc. I thought Lumpy Money was going to fill in the gaps to the real Lumpy Gravy/WOIIFTM, which i bought shortly after it was put on the shelves way back when. Don't get me wrong, I consider myself a true Zappaphile not a Yellow Snowhead but more of a Yellow Shark-ster. I buy/own everything Zappa ever released and will continue to do so but I don't understand the over-priced tag from Zappa.com. If someone could explain the real significance to the Project/Object agenda I'd be really happy.

I didn't realize there were levels of fandom. I consider myself a 50/50er, but not full blown holiday in berlin-like, but more Afternoon of a Sexually Aroused Gas Masker.

I like this almost top to bottom, it's just Dweezil's little intrusions on the first and last cuts that I'd rather weren't there.

Hi,

None ... except the intro to the website and the board.

In general, I do not like the social milieu to influence what I listen to ...

Right now I want 200 Motels released ... check out the small review in the other thread.

Beat the Reaper from Civ III, it is interesting that you do not let your kids listen to Zappa. My kids grew up with Zappa blasting all day. When my daughter was a toddler, my wife and I took turns reading the kids to sleep. When it was my turn, I used to sing "let's make the water turn black" until she was able to recite it back in it's entirety. To put that into perspective, I also recited "Johnathan Joe" and 'Four friends" by A.A. Milne until she could recite it herself. My son at 24 is a Zappa fan today, although he doesn't give me due props for it. I'm not suggesting you subject your kids to "Briefcase Boogie" but..........

Freak Out!

Cassette, in my car, driving the wife to work and myself to work afterwards. The underground is closed, because of a derailed train. 20 C below zero outside, don't eat the yellow snow 8)

woke up with "Nigger Biz" in my head (don't ask me why) so I popped in the Dub Room Special DVD, made a cuppa tea and smoked a few bong hits.
