This is side 4 of Devo's "Now It Can Be Told" album. No music, just strange drawings etched into the plastic.

Just to be pedantic....the fourth side is studio only on the North American release. In England, where the studio cuts were previously released as singles and EP's, side 4 is more, older live stuff.

don't forget this classic three-sided album.
but, of course, it was released back in the day when they couldn't fit more than 20 minutes per album side...

This is another of my 3-sided albums....sorta.
One side is double grooved, so when you play it you won't always get the same material. Really surprises people when you turn it over twice, and still get a new side.

Just got this PM..

Quote:
...you're on my shit list for bumping that stupid fucking thread. Thanks a fucking lot. Did you think that was fucking funny? How is this shit helpful to anyone? To have a thread for lying about me? Do you think I need this horseshit? We don't need these kinds of harrassing threads floating to the top of the board like a turd in a toilet.

Well for one thing I didn't bump it as it was already up on top or I would not have even seen it. However I do remember that thread and I do remember you saying that. If you cant see the humor in it then go fuck yourself!

I have always stuck up for you for the most part.

What's that little pumpkin in the centre hole? That has to be a photoshop thing. How can I have any faith in a photo that has so obviously photoshopped?

This may have been mentioned before, but this is my favorite example of a long-ass album side (even though the music itself is kinda boring).

TODD RUNDGREN - INITIATION

From cduniverse.com:

INITIATION took a lot of notice when it was first released in 1975, because of its technical oddity: at 68 minutes, it was and remains the longest single-disc-vinyl pop album ever, longer than some two-LP sets. Over half of that length is taken up by the 36-minute exploration "A Treatise on Cosmic Fire.[ed: all of side 2]" Bookended by pyrotechnic guitar solos, most of the piece consists of a lengthy synthesizer solo that actually sounds like a lot of the electronica acts that appeared two decades later.

Please stop spreading lies
I NEVER said that you can't put 20 minutes on a record side. This is absolute bullshit, and you know it. PLEASE stop spreading these outrageous lies.

yes you did. and if you would have been MAN enough to admit that you did say just that, all of this shit these last three days would never have happened...

and stop sending me messages.

another message from the little baranoff:

Quote:
I NEVER SAID THAT SHIT. STOP LYING.
THIS is irresponsible. Let it go, man. You're wrong. Accept it. I never said that it's impossible to put 20 minutes, 25 minutes, 30 minutes, whatever the fuck you claim I said, on a fucking LP side. That is absolutely untrue.

no, it's true. you're a compulsive liar and too afraid to stand up for what you said when you realize you were wrong. you're a coward.
