Try "The Loneliest Room in the World" by Root Boy Slim & the Sex Change Band. Another mock tearjerker.

"I've tried marijuana, cocaine, and heroin
but I can't get the thought of you
out from under my skin
I'm lonelier now
lonelier than I've ever been
in the loneliest room in the world"

it was not meant to be taken 100% literally.

and then i threw up into a desk drawer.

BBP, must be pissed.

But I am a man, and I don't cry, only a few tears of joy for the flute solo with bass accompaniment...

George Duke: Muir Woods Suite Phase 6 (Love Theme)

I was driving around Yosemite NP listening to it and got kinda sad.

It's not so much sad musically; it's that George's playing is so elegant on it that I missed him like never before.

These, because they're two of my favorite songs, covered by guys I really like who are dead, and written by another guy I really like who is dead, all way before their time. Wait for it on the second one, and don't mind the noise.

That's great. I have Hedge's Sofa on cd but this is the first I've heard Lane's Watermelon.
