I guess most of you've seen it before, but wtf - you don't mind watching FZ playing the guitar in Budapest 1991 once more, do you?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKCXS9WKzuo

I was in Prague in September 1991 and read about Zappa's concert there in The Prague Post. If only I'd known and gone a few weeks before!

I think I actually started a thread once about the second concert, asking if anybody had any guesses as to where or the date it was actually recorded.

This RichieFZ guy has a lot more interesting FZ on his channel, so it is really worth the effort to browse through all the tangerine dream stuff.
http://www.youtube.com/user/RichieFZ

for example:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDcciCaK9ew Bognor Regis from the hot rats sessions
or
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3CnnWI8b1w The Valdez Score (14:36) synclavier

PS: I was reminded of the fine Rollo parts at the end of Don't Eat The Yellow Snow from YCDTOSA vol. 1

Man, I think it would be great if the Complete Orchestral Favorites Sessions appeared, along with the live concert material. Apparently, the electric orchestra also played a protoversion of Black Napkins, some Wazoo stuff a la Dog Meat, Part 1 of Farther O'Blivion and also Revised Music For Low Budget Orchestra, with the original bass-line (the bassoon intro on the JLP's King Kong album) intact (Studio Tan/Läther version has got that one removed, much to my chagrin). Maybe there's also a recording of Don Van Vliet wailing on soprano sax for the ending part of Strictly Genteel?

Other than that, yeah, good stuff on RichieFZ channel.

I don't remember, for me this was all new stuff. Why not collect these links together for people with a weak memory like me? Wasn't the basic idea of this thread, to create a central source without the necessity to browse the whole forum?

I can tutor you on the chat if you wish... If you can send an email, you can download and share a torrent.

Thnx very much. But i have relative limited trafic per month in my access to the web. That's another reason, why i don't use the possibilities of webtorrents. There is still a lot of stuff on utube that i already don't know. Maybe i will come back to your friendly offer later.

Worth for mainly the 1980 footage, there's a Dutch orchestra playing "Revised Music For Low-Budget Orchestra", while FZ says things like classical music is just as formulaic as Top 40 pop.

Listening to this now - beautiful show, and what a band! Ponty really makes a difference. One of the best vintages, for sure.
