My DVDs:

Zappa Plays Zappa: Pal, All Regions
Classic Albums: Pal, Region 4
Dub Room: NTSC, Regions 1 & 4
Baby Snakes: Pal, Region 4
Humour: Pal, All Regions

Based on that, I don't know what to expect. More info would be appreciated.

Region code - Area

0 - Informal term meaning "worldwide". Region 0 is not an official setting; discs that bear the region 0 symbol either have no flag set or have region 1–6 flags set.
1 - Northern America; U.S. territories; Bermuda
2 - Europe; Western Asia; Kingdom of the Netherlands; Egypt, Japan, Lesotho, South Africa, Swaziland; British overseas territories, French overseas territories; Greenland
3 - East and Southeast Asia
4 - Oceania; Latin America, Caribbean
5 - Africa; Central and South Asia; Belarus, Mongolia, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine
6 - Mainland China
7 - Reserved for future use (found in use on protected screener copies of MPAA-related DVDs and "media copies" of pre-releases in Asia)
8 - International venues such as aircraft, cruise ships, etc.[1]
ALL - Region ALL discs have all 8 flags set, allowing the disc to be played in any locale on any player.

My god. Johnny, you are getting older and milder. A few years back you would have written "REHASH" all over the place, as this indeed is a DVD issue of an earlier VHS issue. 8)

hahahahahahaaahaaa i know. disappointment has stifled me.

yes and i do own the original VHS :)

Me too. Is there a listing of the extras on the DVD he asked lazily because he didn't want to go search for it.

Tracklist:

Black Napkins, Montana, Easy Meat, Beauty Knows No Pain, Charlie's Enormous Mouth, Fine Girl, Teen-Age Wind, Harder Than Your Husband, Bamboozled By Love, We're Turning Again, Alien Orifice, Flakes, Broken Hearts Are For Assholes, You Are What You Is, Mudd Club, The Meek Shall Inherit Nothing, Dumb All Over, Heavenly Bank Account, Suicide Chump, Jumbo Go Away, Stevie's Spanking, The Torture Never Stops, Strictly Genteel, The Illinois Enema Bandit.

Extras:

Teenage Prostitute, City of Tiny Lights, You are What You Is (music video)
+ brief picture gallery. Liner notes by Scott Tunes.

Great picture quality and sound. Over 2 hours of live Zappa, so you certainly get your money's worth. However, at a minimum, I think "Sinister Footwear" should have been added as an extra. Seems like the ZFT should have just released the entirety of both concerts.

Was the interview's w/ Nina left off?!?! I hope not, Thats aways been a good kicker right before the show haha. The one right before the encore where Nina was drunk and talking out her ass. The football references "33rd and 3" or what ever the fuck she was saying kills me. LOL!!

I love that she is still bitter about Frank taking the piss out of her. Haha. She made a statement along the lines of "It's a shame that he's not with us anymore and all but.. why did he have to be so mean to me?!?!"

I will not buy this release, because it's not the full show. What I was anticipating was a full concert with good sound, as opposed to the vhs version I have, where the guitar sounds like shit. But what's the point, when they have left out many of the best tunes?

I bought The Dub Room Special, and I don't regret that. It's a wonderful piece of entertainment. But this TTNS DVD is simply not interesting to me.

Seeing the deluxe version of the ZPZ DVD has made me a little suspicous too. Not that I have anything against deluxe releases, but when it is released shortly after the original version, I think it is a practice that might very well continue. How long until the whole concert is released as a "deluxe version"?

And I don't buy the argument about buying stuff in order to help financing future releases, because the stuff the ZFT have released over the past few years cost money to put together too, and I think some of the things we're all waiting for (especially the Roxy DVD) would sell a lot more than Joe's Corsage etc.

(AND what's the deal with supplying hardly any information about releases on the website? Why should we have to buy One Shot Deal in order to know what it contains? And please, ZFT, stop praising your releases in the liner notes to EVERY RELEASE! What's the point? Should we take it seriously?)

OK. That was my little rage against the machine for this evening. Looking forward to the winter... Spoo!

I emailed Music Today a few days ago to ask about the future availability of both Torture and One Shot Deal. Still haven't heard back from them.

MusicToday replied that OSD and TTNS were not limited. They are just currently sold out at the moment.

So if you have a DVD player that can play from all regions, then you can look at the DVD?
I'm so gonna buy this since it's only 175 SEK.

Nope.
The DVD has no region code so it can play on any DVD player whatever the region code.
However the format is NTSC so your system needs to be compatible in order to display it.
In any case you should be able to play this on your computer if you have a DVD player.

Looks like the DVD is sold out again. I hope they return. I occasionally do stupid things, holding off on ordering this may have been one of them.
