I'd pay to see Bakshi try to animate old FZ footage. I think it would be hilarious. Not respectful, not good, but hilarious.

Val Kilmer is a very good character actor.
Makeup would have to do lots of work
but minimally I'd like t see how he does
with a screen test reading of an FZ part.

It's undo-able, Frank simply can't be played correctly and believable by any actor.

Any Youtube Clip or documentary using REAL FZ footage will always be better than any actor, no matter who it is.

Try Richard Linklater.

I honestly don't think that a biography film made entirely from rotoscoped stock footage would be disrespectful or humorous. Quite the contrary - it should be an interesting experiment.

I saw somewhere (I think on VH1) that Dee Snider made a low-budget film about the PMRC hearings and there was an actor that portrayed FZ. Looked nothing like him, of course, but I'm wondering if anybody has anymore info about this?

Adrian Brody has my vote. He has the nose, the soul patch and he can act, too!

Here's how he looks since he started doing "Life On Mars" 8)
This almost looks like a recreation of the interview from the Does Humor Belong in Music video. "Just because you have that thing growing between your legs, it's no problem." 8)
