This is weird.

I'm (hungrily) watching the Food Network, and an ad for Bellawood Prefinished Hardwood Floors comes on. Bob Vila and others wax poetic on the enjoyment they receive from their hardwood flooring. Whatever. But, the music sticks out a bit, and I realize it's Chunga's Whiskers from DZ's Go With What You Know.

And I have a little moment wherein the Food Net, Dweezil, and a Gypsy mutant industrial vacuum cleaner dance about my brain.

A long, long time ago I had noted on here that I heard Chunga's Whiskers as segue music on some short-lived Comedy Central show... about a half-way house or something. Halfway Home? I don't know. The show sucked and was canceled. But I'm quite sure I heard Chunga's Whiskers in there somewhere.

There seems to be someone generating a ton of adds using this song out of British Columbia Canada. recently I heard it used on a nationa add campaign for natures own granola bars, very short and very low volume.

Kal Tire in BC has used it extensively in a number of adds. A lot of smaller furniture stores and non-chain business have used it as well in the BC area.
