As a father, emotionally viewing this can only be described
as that when first seeing my two newborn girls.
My deepest appreciation to
Dweezil Zappa, his family,
all the ZPZ musicians and special guests,
those behind the scenes that make it all happen,
all the fans and foremost the American Composer Frank Zappa.

"Did you feel it, the earth actually fell off it's axis.(laughing)
Thank you very much, obviously this means allot.(very emotional)
I am trying to keep it together.
This particular song means allot, it's 40 years old
and it was on a record that was dedicated to me when I was born,

(Real tears obviously flowing and humbly being wiped,
camera changes to Diva Zappa, Gail Zappa & Lauren Knudsen Zappa
where I can only explain their emotions by my pre-amble .
The faces of others in the audience seem genuinely touched by DZs speech.
The loving affection Gail Zappa gestures towards Dweezil
is that of the happiest mother on earth.

So I am dedicating it right back.
Thanks to my family,
My mom Gail and my brother and sisters,

Nice clip! This man Dweezil is carrying a lot on his shoulders. Amazing he can keep on.

ZPZ is about performing the composers work not about fold, spindle and mutilating it.
My confidence level of what Dweezil could and has achieved with this project
has always been on a steady coarse well before their first public performance at the 2006 Jammy Awards.
I edit one more time because I want to take this opportunity to once again
state that Paul Green is a Humpty Dumpty no good analysis of talent.
Paul Green is not worth a lucky Penny held in the hand of Schelia Gonzalez
or a Penny that one walks past on the street.

I continue to think as tours go on and the ZPZ project evolves
the possibilities of representing the canon of the composer work are limitless
as those defined by human intangibles.

Franks work evolved over decades where each musician, of the thousands, was a color
in the artist's paint pallet. The music is the composers work, Frank metaphorically as a painter does blend
the colors of each musician with his artistic vision.
First and foremost Franks work is far beyond any given musician.
The musicians performing his work get absolutely ZERO compositional credit just as
the manufacturer of oil paint colors used in the work of Picasso did not get compositional credit.

The musicians are a medium of the composers work.
So with ZPZ it is not foremost about the musicians it's about the composers work.
My confidence level of what these musicians can achieve in performance of the composers work is unparalleled
to any musicians who have ever performed the composers work.

I had nothing like this in mind. Music is not about comparisons; that's for sports.

I was thinking emotionally and phsycologically: He is obviously a very sensitive man. He easily cries (he was tearful when he played in Copenhagen) - that's just one indication. Obviously, losing his father has been a tremendous emotional shock, and I was just thinking that it must be an awful strain to be reminded of your father in everything you do. Every day. Playing Frank Zappa's music must be both challenging and fulfilling, but it must be tough on the mental side, to live through your father like Dweezil does. But its amazing that he has taken this path a 100%. That was what went through my mind when I saw the clip.

DZ is very good, I am glad he is playing his fathers music. For a while i had my doubts about his musical taste; as he is quoted in a book by E Van Halen, that eddie is his biggest influence! I almost puked.

There was a time when Eddie played from the heart - and from his dick, but mostly from his heart.

What's wrong with that?

Even Eddie can't deny the power of Holdsworth! That's how I found out about him in the first place.

Back on topic, Dweezil's acceptance speech was so emotional, it got ME teary-eyed. Say what you will about some ZFT tactics - Dweezil's doing a good job with the music. His heart is absolutely in it.

I just want to clarify that in the context of this discussion
God is Frank Zappa and Music is The Best.
Thou shalt not take Frank Zappa the composers work in vane.

All that man perpetuated religious dogma
God the maker of the heavens and earth
all that is seen and unseen.

Frank Zappa is the creator of Zappa's Universe.
All that is probably initially preformed
from the dots on paper may be 70% of the composers vision
whereby then the composer ensured due diligence by all musizhnins
applying the eyebrows and then carving up the mountain
taking it back to the work shed he continued tweaking
then FZ the composer got the composition Good God Frank Zappa as it could humanly get.

The tool shed carving tools kept at it where each composition
was not only a collage of elements
but a collage of elements over space and time.
Yes Thank you Gail Zappa.

There is no reason to overtly fuck with FZ intent.

You see we can not only be spiritually affected by the footprints
and it is obvious that Dweezil is not only The Blood of his father
but Dweezil is walking millions and millions and millions of miles in his fathers footsteps.

Could other musicians, groups and ensembles perform FZ work?
Yes but there are few that give the due diligence,
the extreme demands,
the well established performance protocols.....
Want to know what those are?
It's the composers canon.

Dweezil and ZPZ deliver that.
