This was great to see. What a lucky, lucky man to have this music at his fingertips.

Please, please, please start releasing some of these live shows in their entirety.

Thanks ZFT.

There's DVD's there for years that could make em lots of money. The Vaultmeister stuff should be a 30 minute extra.

No kidding. I love seeing this stuff.

How about that studio footage of Frank with the Ikettes? Why are we just now seeing that?!

@Madcow1515

As you say "Why are we"
is more about what you have not noticed in an Official Release
that was made available three years ago.

About a month ago a topic over at dweezilzappaworld addressed
a Zappa UMRK Vault Virtual Museum. I talked of the exact concepts we see in this video
including FZ Razor Edits being part of the user personal UMRK Virtual Vault Experience
and no sooner do we get the whole enchilada of this Vaultmeister Video
of which a portion had been used for the Apostrophe / Over-Nite Sensation(DVD).

Where " THE LAST WORD" of the FZ Videography area
here at Zappa.com talks of "RARE FOOTAGE" that would point
in part to the rare studio footage that you are (Why are we) questioning.
The sync of audio to film of that "rare studio footage" is quite impressive
and well worth repeated viewings.......
And but also there is more rare footage in that project.

Seek the path.....

I'll translate Trendmonger's speech in just 9 words:

Quote:
Some of this footage was previously released on DVD.

It takes Trendmonger hundreds of words to say that. Trendy, if only you could put your energy into something worthwhile.

Anyway, that DVD was interesting but I could have done without Moon bringing up her personal issues with her father.

As for Joe's vault footage, loved it and I too would pay for a DVD all about the work he and Dweezil do restoring and looking after the vault tapes. I actually think such a documentary would be commercially viable for main stream media.

A dvd of all the shelves in the vault AND Joe & Dweez playing the multi-tracks.

I got a little hard from that fuzz bass at the beginning of St. Alfonzo.
