"That's the way I do my business." You did right, Frank. Great animation, haha. I'm off for a smoke. Thanks Miltie.

I don't really like this side of Frank.
Nice animation though.

Nice one. The pseudo-synclavier track is also great!

That was brilliant. Hilarious.

To those that say they don't like this side of Frank, to some degree I agree. He was somewhat self possessed. I disagree with his attitude towards unions. People who say that socialism won't work because we are not equal are completely missing the point. It's because we are not equal that we need socialism. It's capitalism that treats us all equal erroneously.

Zappa's point is fair enough when it comes to specialisms like musical entertainment which involves a high level of talent and skill. It's not unreasonable to expect value for money. But if you're born without any kind of talent at all or any talent particular to some value to capitalism you're doomed to live at the bottom of the heap.

I'm not saying unions don't get it wrong or even occasionally go bad altogether, but it seems to me that people who criticise them are mysteriously nowhere near as forgiving of unions as they are of the worst ills of capitalism. I personally would not be interested in a socialism that didn't promote and value excellence while at the same time supporting and providing a worthwhile role for the not so excellent.

Capitalism is a system that enables talented people to exploit the less talented and feel justified in the process.

Certainly Frank had the ability to go off and give a detailed summery of what was on his mind. Not only could the man compartmentalize and add various bits of information gathered through the experience of his life, but he was also able to access whatever file he needed, and tie it all together in nice flowing form.

In one interview (Society Pages maybe)he stated that he had something of a photographic and/or motion picture-like memory. So if he had to explain something at length, he'd roll the memory film and give a journalistic reporting on it.
