I'm trying to find little bits and pieces, like Frank playing the bicycle. I've clicked a few youtube connections and found them gone! I understand the Zappa Family Trust keeping them for providing income. So, OK where can I find things? Shouldn't there be some sort of on-line store where these things can be purchased?

There's always problems with copyright. Currently (and dear fellow Forumers, correct me if I'm wrong) the rights to FZ's lifetime recordings is in the hands of Warner Bros. The Warner Bros policy is that any of its content on the web will be removed ASAP. So all the Zappa album tracks you can find on there, will disappear as soon as WB wants them out of there.

I don't know who holds copyright for Steve Allen show, or that fairy-tale thing where Frank owns every scene he's in just by saying Hnnng!, or the Make Me Laugh show...
MTV interviews are generally copyrighted by MTV.
The various VPRO docs are owned by VPRO, but for the 200 Motels doc, music from the film was used. Which is owned by MGM and so that doc was deleted, but the 1971 vacuum documentary is still there, since Dutch state TV is loose with that.
I don't know who owns Saturday Night Live, but as soon as one of those vids surface on YouTube it's deleted.

Ever had one of those DVDs where part of the sound is blocked out? I have two such cases: sections of Duckman episodes were cut due to issues with copyright, and a DVD box of a Dutch music show: since they have visual performances by the artists they chose to play sections without audio
In other words: with Youtube videos it's not usually in the ZFT's hands.
