Let me try explaining...

The movie was uploaded as a binary (in other words, a file) to a Usenet group, alt.binaries.fz-video.

To download it, you need a newsreader with the ability to download binaries.

oOOo suggested Ozum, which can be found here.

For my fellow Mac users, try searching for something here.

However, as I go through alt.binaries.fz-video, all I see is parts of the Uncle Meat movie. oOOo, could you possibly reload it onto the newsgroup or tell us where to find it on there?

Sure I do. I just hate that Frank found a camera effect and used it over and over and over and over. It's like, give it a rest, Frank. Some normal shots would be nice.

hello! totally agree---and he even used it in the 80's! you are what you is video, anyone? the second half had my face right next to the screen trying to figure things out. i read this movie received mixed reviews ----from college students back in 1969! you'd think they'd "get it". a lot of the footage i could see has been released elsewhere, including the peaches en regalia video. what i could see (mothers frolicking in the woods, some studio time...gail eating a banana...naughty lad, fz  ) was enjoyable, otherwise, headacheville. nice to finally see it, tho.

I like Frank as a filmmaker, the collage stuff more than an Uncle Meat or 200 Motels. As a collage filmmaker, he's fantastic. Not quite sure if this group knows much about underground film. Not that I am an expert, but I've certainly sat through many, many films where nothing really happens at all. There's a helluva a lot more going on in Frank's movies.

Same sentiment here...
I watched both parts of The Burned Weeny Sandwich Films on Youtube, but i can't really say I enjoyed it that much.
The effects really ruin it for me, but then again I also think Bruce Bickfords clay animations doesn't really add anything to either The Dub Room Special or Baby Snakes.

Sometimes FZ really went a bit overboard with the weirdness-factor by incorporating stuff like that in his movies.
And his music is already ''weird'' enough, so in movies I actually like to be able too see how and by whom it is performed !

I enjoyed it just for the footage of people involved and around with the band. If you are talking about that "strobe" effect, I totally agree. Frank just loved that way too much. How many of his film/video efforts did he use that on? I think every one!
