A new documentary film called "Monster Road," about the man responsible for the mind-blowing "Baby Snakes" animation, Bruce Bickford, is going to be showing at the LA Film Festival on June 22 & 24, 2004. <br><br>And the normally reclusive Bruce Bickford will also be there in person to answer questions and cause new ones to arise!<br><br>"Monster Road" has won 3 "Best Documentary" prizes so far this year, at Slamdance, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the Independent Film Festival of Boston.<br><br>It is chock full of new animation from Bickford, and looks deep into the mind and makeup of the Amazing Mr. to try and understand where his remarkable sensibility comes from.<br><br>There's more info at the film's web site:<br><http://www.brighteyepictures.com><br><br>And at the LA Film Festival's site:<br><http://www.lafilmfest.com><br><br>Also, Gerry Fialka will be screening Bruce's rarely-seen film from the early 80s, "Prometheus' Garden," on Wed, Jun 23 at 10 pm at the Sponto Gallery, 7 Dudley Ave in Venice. Bruce will also be on hand there to press the flesh.
