GOD! What a fantastic movie!<br> They wanted to break their image and take their own control...they broke it alright...that and the minds of the few people who went to see it when it came-out!<br> The only comedy 1960's movie that shows someone getting executed in the first half-hour...for real ,uncut!Not a light movie,and what a wild set of effects too!<br> The part with the trippy effects in the hallway of mylar balloons ,that leads to the birthday party scene is one of THEE most screwed-up pieces of camera/mind f#ckery you can ever see!<br> Where else in 1960's movies could you see your favorite plastic-pop idol commit suicide by jumping off of a bridge in the film's opening scenes?<br> Frank has one of the best lines in the movie too!<br> Timothy Carey(of the" World's Greatest Sinner "fame)is one of the main "bad guys" too...conceptual continuity alert! Did ya ever wonder why 200 Motels is sorta like a demented Monkee's show....huh,did ya?
