I knew it would be awful, but it just came out on DVD for the first time, and I just had to see how bad it was. Yikes.

God Almighty. This one was pretty rough. Still pretty fun in all its awfulness. Here's the famous clip:

Watched that yesterday, but what do you expected? It's a 007 movie...

That's not true. It's not a 007 movie. James Bond is about a slick, charming, oh-so-British spy. Daniel Craig is a plain and dull superaction hero with none of the qualities that attracted me to Sean Connery's, or Timothy Dalton's Bond.
But even the not-so-good Bonds are somewhat entertaining to watch. QoS is just a waste of time.

Aw, I love The Jerk, but yeah, it probably helps if you saw it as a kid.

Well... y'all know that I'm busy becoming a Tim Curry nut, right? So I'm collecting/watching his work...
and with this in mind, I saw the following today in which he voices the Bad Guy:

I hear it's a shoo-in for Best Picture.

Beauty And The Beast: Enchanted Christmas.
Granted, a bad guy who's an organ and "bolted to the wall" is hilarious. Curry did a great job voicing the organ. And his song was great. But the first three songs are all Belle singing something romantic, the story takes off in the last ten minutes, and the frame story is ridiculous.

Scary Movie 2. It's cursed.

I bought a ScaMo2 vid on Saturday at a second-hand store. I'm not familiar with the series but well you know Curry is in it so... I was all set to watch it on Monday.
So I put the tape in the VCR and discover: NOTHING on it. Literally. Someone must have put it on the TV or something.
Yesterday my father found another copy at a secondhand store. Yay.

Set out to watch it, and switched it off for the first time before the titles had even started. A teenage movie like that is just offensive to teenagers. Continued a few times and stopped a few times.
Tried to watch the rest today.
About ten minutes before the end, the vid stopped and ejected itself. Tried again. Tried it in our other VCR in case that one had a stronger engine. At the second try, the tape came out and jammed the recorder. Pulled it out.

Wrecked open the tape. Wound back the tape.
Didn't work. Stopped playing altogether.

Discovered the entire movie is on YouTube. Am watching the rest right now, I wonder why.

You really do have a Curry fetish, don't you BBP? What film would you recommend of his to explain your obsession? (I've only really noticed him in "Rocky Horror" and I hate that!)

Best Picture, as for the Academy Awards.

The whole Scary Movie franchise is like that.

Clue! Clue will be re-made soon unfortunately, the original is excellent.

Also: Legend. It's a bit of a soporific to me but the sets and costumes are amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=616PgQCUcp0. No CGI. He's really in that suit.

And of course Stephen King's IT, which will also be remade soon.

Seen that already, thank you! Love it! The only thing I'm really looking for right now is The Shadow, which is apparently very bad.
