i'n not a fan of this show, actually i didn't like it at all. but channel surfing the other day i came upon a repeat with FZ playing a weasel dust pusher, holding his nose and diving into the water from the back of a boat. weasel dust, *snicker*

I saw this way back when...It's the only Miami Vice I ever bothered to watch. I remember Frank's acting wasn't too convincing - but it was fun to see him on TV.

Wouldn't it be funny if there were a Scooby Doo cartoon with FZ instead of the Harlem Globetrotters?

I´ver seen it only once on german TV. There`s is just this one scene on the boat(?) I don`t remember any more, only two or three sentences which were synchonized for german audience with an italian accent. Frank looked sick - seasick?
The jump was good and possibly a stand in. Zappa was a non-swimmer? No wonder. He woundn`t find the time to learn it. Or are Americans tought swimming in school, like we in Germnay?

I couldn't help but reply to this thread. FZ was indeed on the show, peddling "weasel dust." But none of you mentioned his name on the show---Mario Fuente. I almost busted a gut a year or so after the show ran when I saw a boot with the band listed as: "Mario Fuente and his Multi-Racial Band." Just thought I'd throw that atcha!

Don Johnson was friends with the Zappa family for years. Don offered Frank a cameo, and Dweezil talked him into it. Frank played a drug lord on a dinky (he called his product weasel dust) after a few lines, Don made him jump into the water to be eaten by sharks! Funny stuff!! :D

I have an original tape of that show coming from Mike Talbot who was on the show as one of the other detectives, I dont remember which. Anyway, I saw him at my uncles house on Xmas day. He grew up across the road from my uncle and still owns the house.

What a hoot! Frank as a drug kingpin who refuses to do business on land. I saw it about two yrs ago and they teased Frank's appearance. I remember 30 min into the episode for his scene. It was stupidly funny. ;D

i am pleased that there is a site about frank's appearance in miami vice. i used to watch it avidly, to me it epitomized us of a; fast cars faster women cool policemen beautiful weather. however i missed this vital episode so i have never seen it. i don't think frank could have been that good as he never seemed menacing. but i would like to see it.
