of all the
63 confirmed or likely shows for 1968, 17 have found their way into the tape trading and seeding community. They are all of varying sizes and media and quality of reproduction, as always, but also show a continual evolution in those original Mothers.
The 1968 live material is much more represented in the official catalogue than was 1967, with the fantastic 1993 release Ahead Of Their Time recorded in 1968 and there also are a pair of precious (dare I say it?) beat the boots that show a taste of what those Mothers and Frank could do.: Electric Aunt Jemima and Our Man In Nirvana. Pheeewwwwww!!!!!
Here the band stretches out in music and show quite a number of different strings they can weave together and yet, seem to do it different every time. If you like these rhino Fooo-EEEE! releases what follows may be of interest to you: <collated, researched, seeded and fine tuned by the fine folks over at zappateers. Separated into 'tours' for greater understanding; for this edition, thanx amnesiavivace!
