Wow, do people care anymore? It's been 7 years since the trailer was on the Baby Snakes DVD. I wonder if Gail regrets putting it on there. It created anticipation that it might actually be released. If it hadn't been there, hey, no pressure.

Indeed. And the problem for me (apart from getting older, and literally not being able to wait forever for this unless the eternal life pill is invented), is that I am started to care less and less about this phantom "release". And if I, one of the devoted who have preordered posthumous releases in the past, is starting to care less, maybe others are as well. And with fans also going on "early retirement" at a steady rate, the market may not be there at all if they ever get it ready.

Dance me This & the Varèse album definitely deserve a privileged position over this one, release date-wise & from my point of view, as does any regular album over their retrospection-type counterparts. That said, I'm gonna take them as they come --

Also, even if Blueray' s gonna be a thing of the past when this sucker is finally hitting the street, I won't care, because I always dreamt of a 3-D hologram ARP snth as an accessory for my home.

Gail actually talks a little bit more about the Roxy project here: http://vimeo.com/29234820 (around 12 minutes in).
She "swears" that it will be released 2012, if not this year.
I'm going to station a little trigger-pulling mechanism and gun next to my head with a timer for the end of 2012 and if it doesn't actually arrive on my doorstep, I swear.... I'll...... ummm.... bitch & moan some more.

I'll say it will come out in 2014 for the 40th anniversary.

Sweet! That allows me two more years for bitching & moaning!

... but your prediction is in alignment with Pauline Butcher's assessment of Gail's work mode: “has three speeds: slow, very slow, and stop”. :smoke:

I kinda don't think so. I think they know this one better be right, with the amount of interest in it. But I could be wrong.

But I may be right.

Quoting fucking Billy Joel. See Gail? This is what happens when Roxy isn't released.

One thing to remember, based on what Gail has said, is that the video may not 100% complete only because a lot of the cameras ran out of film at the same time during different parts of the shows. that being said they BETTER release it as complete as it possibly can be.

the audio is indeed 100% there and the soundtrack they release BETTER be the complete performances.

I have absolutely no problem with seeing stillshots during the segments that are missing video. Does anyone else?

Just fill any missing video-segments with Bickford animation -- problem solved

No I don't mind that.

It's been almost ten years (or maybe more) since the trailer's been released. That's been more than enough time to get this out.

In the immortal words of Jimmy Carl Black:
"I realize it takes a long time, but God damn does it take another five, ten years from now?"
