Gosh, we need Roxy bad. I don't think any of the audio survives, plus, there's so little else to listen to. The guy didn't make many albums.

Hardee-har-har.... :|

So then would it be a bad thing if it was released? You could always choose not to purchase it, right?

I'll probably get it, as well as other releases. I've just learned that while the ZFT may say that they are working on something it doesn't mean that it will be released anytime soon, or that they've dropped it to work on something else. I've just learned to not worry or even care.

I hear that... I'd just hate to see anybody "nay say" its release.

I hope that this comment does not spur diatribe, but we should be getting new product this fall.

What about re-releasing the Honker vids, what about Dance Me This, I would even take a DVD (if it was fairly priced) of the Joe's Garage stage show. Ruben didn't show up, the year is almost over for a UM audio documentary, there are things that should get out.

No one will care one way or another about Trendy's hints if we get a release we all want, and the forum members will buy most anything that isn't digital download-only.

New product this fall has been a positive outlook some share but some seemingly have resigned in a an extreme negative "whatever" pose.
The use of whatever in society seems like a resignation for venting negativity in a quick moment.
I am forever the optimist when it comes to Official Zappa.
My so called bull shit and the fueled negativism of fanatical responses predominantly comes from standing up for Official and Authoritative.
The negative fans have been here for a very long time. At times they act like rabid drug addicts that are in dire
need of a narcotic fix. At times my views only further fuel their unhappiness as I always take a everything is fine
with Official Stance. I must say some see my point of view especially those that take a step back from the narcotic want and need.

So any given release comes out people may or may not be happy for a while and then we start all over again.
The need factor of the fan who defines the need and procurement schedule based by their definition of what it should be.
Trust me when I say everything is fine and will be fine so long as fans do not get so rabid that anger becomes their primary
being and the community of buyers that support this cottage industry falls into extinction. Please don't blame me and look in the mirror.
Fans and their extreme negativity has been around for a very very long time. Why can I be in such a happy place while so many other seemingly
are always complaining about something. The complaints are there weather I participate or not so please don't put
the we blame Trendmonger for our troubles and validation fro hatred because some of these people hate themselves and just
use me as a vehicle to vent hatred .

Every whitchfinder general needs a witch to burn at the stake and I certainly have my fair share of being tied
and burned. If Gail Zappa spent allot of time or any time here people initially are so happy but soon the evil that gets directed her way
is something that is ridiculous.

I think it is fair to say that Roxy comparatively speaking is in an escalated production state.
Frank never had a budget to complete that. Notice the operative keyword BUDGET.
We have lots to be optimistic about even if some of the audio may not be what we are used to
as heard on the LP with overdubs I fro one will accept that. I am sure it's RAW live quality is something most fans
will appreciate even if in given moments I imagine there could very well be some Audio or Video dropouts.
What the scope of the production will be is still up in the air as far as what fans think may be a scope.
Will it be a massive 4 hour DVD or will some things be stripped down because of production reasoning.

That's hilarious. Were you trying to make a joke or do you really want to know if Trendy's posts are worth reading? All I can say is: that way lies madness.

Of course you may actually be talking about the thread title, in which case all I can say is: that way lies madness.

I understand the Roxy DVD is closer to being finished.
Another big thing for next year is another DVD, our Roxy concert that we did 35 years to the date that Frank last played at the Roxy. We’re also working hard to complete Frank’s Roxy film, so hopefully both of those can get released by the end of 2010.

Will these be packaged together or separate?
Most likely, they’ll be separate. The thing that’s really cool about it is that it’s one of my favorite records anyway. We got Frank’s version transferred to high-def from the film master, and that’s an important step. That’s going to be a major focus of 2010.

Cheap horrors! :?
I thought this thing to be about completion stage -- now 'by the end of 2010' means 2012 at the earliest, in ZFT-speak - By which time I'll have ended up being absorbed by the Barry Manilow fan compartment

WAIL

I feel your pain, Buffalo.... :|

Again, call me crazy but why not throw some P.R. up on your site about if that's the story? Instead of us geeks finding it on obscure sites, you could write up a little press release saying: HAVE NO FEAR - Roxy *will* be coming... and it'll be well worth the wait. And here's another teaser of the un-ending, proverbial golden carrot: <insert HD YouTube link here>

Boooooo

Hey Trendy, if you're reading this, how about converting future posts to microfiche first?? Could help making your comments seem even more cryptic and saves space for the more condensed . :P
