This is a request.
ZPZ is coming to SLC Utah on 12-18-12 at The Depot. The people at the venue tell me that a standing audience vs a sitting audience is done by their facility at the artist's discretion.
We saw Adrian Belew at The Depot there last year, and he requested had open seating. That's the last concert that I went to that was totally enjoyable. I could actually see the band in all it's glory. The Depot is a very small venue, so big TV screens probably won't work.
I say this because I saw 8 Frank Zappa concerts over the years, and he would tell the audience to "please sit down... we're going to be here a very long time" Frank said it more than once!
Dweezil can tell The Depot to set the place up for open seating. Most FZ fans are in their 50's & 60's. My wife has bad feet and cannot stand for 3 hours. Sitting in a chair at the back of the venue with the view of the stage totally blocked is miserable. We didn't stop going to concerts because we lost interest in the music.
I'm sure Dweezil understands common courtesy. Frank did. He told everyone to sit down. Dweezil can teach the younger generation to have some courtesy for those behind them. He's in the position to do exactly that.
Please do Frank's fans a big favor and implement this request, please!
Thank you.
