Love Civilization Phaze III! I am a little disappointed though. The seller graded the copy as very good. The discs are clean. No problems there. There is a little wear on the black pages across from the discs. To be expected. But, there are two pretty good nicks at the bottom of the digipack, across from the spine. You can't see it when it is stored in the rack, but I know it is there. Yes, I am that anal.

Just pulled the trigger on a copy of Halloween for $34. It is graded very good from a seller with 100% positive feedback, but the last one had 100% positive too. We shall see?

You'll love it, it's a way of life....

You're absolutely right Gray_Ghost. I love this release so much! Arthur and Patrick together is a monster! Especially, with Vinnie on drums. My second pass on this one, and I really love it! 8)

Just bought a copy of QuAUDIOPHILIAc for $50. Hope it's in good shape.

Halloween was in good shape, except the snap lock is broken on the case. The case had a lot of crud on it, but I was able to clean that with some WD-40 followed by rubbing alcohol.

Did you like QuaAUDIOPHILIAc? I may get attacked for this, but I am not a big fan...

I've listened to it twice. It's not going to end up as one of my favorite releases, but I do like it.

I should try it again. FZ product, even the posthumous ones, never fail to reveal new things to me if I give them enough time between listens to hear them with 'new' ears.

The fact that I got all the releases also shut the thread down. I would give my opinions on the releases, but I don't want to be asked to leave the forum.

Sorry for reviving this thread, but need some reccomendations for these, as I'm about to finish FZ's life output. My get list is:

- Feeding The Monkeys At Ma Maison
- Everything is Healing Nicely
- The Lost Episodes
- Imaginary Diseases
- Wazoo

My favourite Zappa eras are the early Mothers, the synclavier music, the classical music, Lather(a period itself), and the Grand Wazoo albums.

Are there more essencial releases?

In my opinion, that is an excellent first get list. Joe's Corsage is excellent for a fan of early Mothers. Mofo and Lumpy Money are essentials, but they do require an output of cash.

On the live end, I really love Philly '76 and Buffalo. Hammersmith is a given, but most of that material has seen a lot of light. So, I wouldn't make it a first purchase. Just my two cents.

Thanks Philo, when my royality check comes I think I'll get a Mustang and Joe's Corsage. It's so wonderful to feel that I am doing something for the kids, because the kids and their music are where it's at.

This is the Zappa forum, so of course I'm not serious. What use is a Mustang without a drivers licence, unless you're embarking on a life of crime at the tender age of Fourteen...again I'm not being serious, nosey maybe, but not serious....

I've edited the post. The joke wasn't clear enough. Now I think it is.
