Den Simms: Ok. What was "Pipco"?

Frank Zappa: Pipco ... it baffled me for a long time. Turns out to be a little league shirt from Santa Barbara, a Santa Barbara pipe company, I believe.

DS (laughs): So, maybe it was [pronounced] "Pipe-Co".

FZ: Yeah.
I have a PIPCO shirt. It is a RYKO promo t-shirt that they made in 1995 when the new ZFT catalog was released. Not many of them were made tho. It's really an awesome shirt and great replica of the original. I have seen them sell on eBay in the past.
Wouldn't hurt to have a Frog Hollow Day Camp t-shirt in the collection too.

I have a Pipco shirt..much too small for me nowadays, I also have a very very VERY worn 'Ship Arriving too Late...' Tshirt, and a 'Them Or Us' sleeveless shirt. I think I also have a very nasty 'Ship arriving...' scarf. All courtesy of my late brother.

My brother was at a Hammersmith Odeon matinee gig in late 1984 (I think...) and had a ticket for the evening show too. Apparently Frank came onstage and made it known that he hated playing England. My brother didn't bother going to the second show ...waaaa... Bearing in mind that we were both HUGE Zappa fans, I couldn't believe he didn't go. I was overseas at the time and when he phoned me and told me....I think I was sick.
