Wow, Mr. Slime!
I'm impressed! I counted 34 of the covers that you've posted that reside in my collection. My favorite is the Guitar World cover circa '82. Where'd you ever find the Rolling Stone one? I've been trying to snag that one forever!

I have one you don't have (or I don't see)... Dutch magazine called Gitarist, from late 2005... I'll upload a picture as soon as I can do that with the new PC (or develop enough patience dodo that on the old one).

This is'nt as impressive as many of the items above but I've been searching for this image for years. I have a well worn out t-shirt that I aquired in the late '70s from a shop in a mall that ironed these decals onto the shirt of your choice. I happened tp be browsing Ebay and found a brand new mint poster of this.

Hey Everyone,

It was four years ago today that I joined the Zappa Forum! Yup, leap day 2004. Jimmie D and i road tripped to Philly to see Ike Willis perform with the Paul Green School of rock students. *old timers*...remember White Person a.k.a. Whitey? He was there and even gave us a ride to our hotel Ffrom the gig so we didn't have to cab it.I miss him and that wicked sense of humor. Anyway.....

It wasn't until the ride home that jimmie had to explain to me who White Person was and how he came to know him. He said he was an acquaintance he knew from the Zappa Forum and I was like, "what is the Zappa Forum?". When we got back to Maryland, I logged onto the Forum and I have to admit I was completely addicted for months, maybe even years.

I decided in April of 2004 that I wanted host a Mother's Day Zappa party at my home and invited anyone from the Z Forum who wanted to attend. This is how I came to know XYQA who is now one of my closest friends in the world.
Zardoz came to that party....again, old timers, what ever happened to him do we know?

Then there was the Zappaween party...

Dovey picked Sabby up and they both drove cross country to attend. The even hit a deer on the way and that didn't stop them!! Batchain drove from bean town. XYQA drove up from cabbage town. Let's see...a fellow that went by Andy was there and brought a cake that had the Barking Pumpkin logo air brushed on it. Shhhh, I don't think he had permission from the ZFT (sorry Gail). Of course jimmie d was there an put together really cool gift bags of zappa goodies for everyone who made the trip. I'd have to look back at the pictures to remember who else showed? We dined on burnt weeny sandwiches, devoured Suzy Creamcheese Dip and drank husky wee wee. What a blast that was!! One day I am going to do that again, stay tuned...

I have to say that the first few years here were a blast. Things feel different now, not necessarily bad but but definitely not the same as it used to be for whatever reason. I seem to spend more time on Myspace these days which is chock full of happy Zappa fans.

Thanks to everyone here for enriching my life in one way or another over the last four years!!

ZAPPACHEERS!!

I finally framed my autographed set lists from the last tour in 1988. Actually, they turned 20 years old this month so I decided it was time to finally fork out the money to get them framed.

In between is the amazing collage that my friend Sarah made for me. One thing is for sure, no one else in the world has a rendition of the Apostrophe album photo made from thousands of pieces or torn paper.

jimmie d has given me some pretty cool posters over the years. i'm not even sure of their origin? all i know is that all i had to do was put a hole in the wall and hang them.
:P

These are all hung on the wall as you go down the stairs to my basement. Everyone needs a Zappa shrine as far as I'm concerned!!

Thanks jimmie d!!!

If my scanner wasn't on the fritz I'd scan the swag that Dove sent me from ZPZ in Los Angeles.

It all started here...at the State Theatre in Virginia USA, Early 2006

Then....

Went to the first show last night and it was FUCKIN' UNREAL!

Uncle Bernie sees Adrian play in April in OZ and decides to get his picture taken holding the picture of Adrian and I at The State Theatre.
:)

Our own XYQA with Mr. Belew...holding a picture of Uncle Bernie and Mr. Belew...holding a picture of me and Mr. Belew...last night in Atlanta, GA, USA!!

How is that for conceptual continuity?? Fucking cool, I'd say!!

Well, the picture in a picture in a picture has just evolved one more time. My lovely friend XYQA had a mug made of her and Adrian Belew holding the picture of Bernie with Adrian holding the picture of Adrian and I. Of course it was screaming to be signed. Thanks Dre' for letting me be the first person to greet him after the show

Mr. Andre Cholmondeley (tour manager), Adrian Belew (looking a little stunned) & me.

This photo was taken in the dressing room after the final show of the latest tour referred to as The Adrian Belew Power Trio, featuring the Paul Green School of Rock graduates (and brother and sister) Julie and Eric Slick.
