In April I saw Jon Anderson (lead singer of Yes) with the School of Rock All Stars (frickin' amazing!). Tomorrow I'm gonna see Rush. In August I'm going to see BB King and The Allman Brothers Band with Bob Weir & Ratdog From the Grateful Dead. In October I'm gonna see David Crosby & Graham Nash and I might see Jethro Tull in November. Who are you going to see?

goddamn you must be rich.

I'm seeing Ween.

At the Jon Anderson concert I noted in that post, Gene Ween was the opening act. :)

I'm a nerd.

^Damn Feets, if i was in your position I'd be pissed, ween is easily in my top 5 all time favorites.

here are the tourdates. I miss the days when they used to tour extensively and come near where I lived--not that I was old enough to even know who they were... Here are the tourdates:

Doesn't look like they're coming anywhere near me. Damn. Ah well.
I did get to see them in 2000, on the White Pepper tour. That was great. They're a favorite of mine too, one of the few currently active bands I really follow. They have yet to put out an album that isn't top-notch.

Who's in Madness these days? Is Barson back with them? The original nutty seven? Sorry, I'm a little out of touch. :P

I always thought that when Mike Barson quit the group they lost a lot of their magic - so if he's back on board, that's great news!

Yesterday:
105.7 The Hawk's Wingstock 2007:

The Marshall Tucker Band
Foghat
Little Feat
Paul Rodgers

Little Feat was the absolute highlight of the show. It was incredible. During their set I snuck in to the VIP seating, to where i was right up to the stage, it was awesome. As if that wasn't cool enough, during one of the songs, the female singer was walking around the stage, shaking hands, and I was able to get a handshake. I am one lucky bastard.

On Sept 13th I saw Los Lobos - the boys were having a real good time, so the show was really FUN. They ended the encore with a killer version of Politician.

Then Friday evening Sept 14th at the Chicago House of Blues my wife and I saw John McLaughlin and the 4th Dimension. Fantastic performance. The bassist Hadrien Feraud is a new Jaco Pastorius. Gary Husband and Mark Mondesir rounded out the band. They will tour the US and Canada thru early October, then tour Europe next spring. Don't miss this group if you have the chance.

I saw them at Yoshi's several years back - have loved them since the 70's. Really underrated group.

How was the performance?
