I am sorry to see that your fall tour includes venues where the ONLY option is purchasing tickets through ticketmaster [sic]. This is unfortunate, and I regret to say I will miss the ZPZ show this year.

I know using TM may be easier for DZ and the Band, but TM is a ripoff to the fans and the industry!

Ticketmaster (subsidiary of IAC/InterActiveCorp, aka 'Admission', 'TicketWeb', 'ReserveAmerica') is a greedy, slimeball Monopoly, who charges ridiculous fees as much as 50% of ticket value, as 'service', 'handling' or 'convenience' fees. They are gouging the fans, as they laugh all the way to the bank. They control the venues and control the musicians (YOU).

There is another way: BOYCOTT TICKETMASTER. Consider smaller venues where the old-fashioned way of waiting in line for tickets gets you the best seat. Smaller venues are usually locally owned, cost $10-$15. They also tell TM where they can stuff it.

"Without deviation from the norm, 'progress' is not possible."

can't remember ever using tm for anything; there's always gonna be tix available thru other sources; craigslist usually works, or show up early for the show, hang in there until it's about to begin and buy them outside the venue

The average surcharge on a ticketmaster ticket is $4-$5. Ordering by mail is where it adds up to more fees. Tickets.com is worse, they're up to $6.50 just buying in person. Lately for all shows I go to, I've been getting tix right at the venue box office when I can.

That's the best way to get 'em!
