Thanks Canadian Tax Payers. It's nice to know that somebody's taxes are going towards something worthwhile.

This was great, a real treat. A good, honest assesment of Frank's compositional methods, too. There's one on Oliver Messiaen listed now as well.

My heart skipped a beat when Joe T mentioned the POSSIBILITY (I take that as it has been done) of assembling "portugese lunar landing" from rehearsel tapes. Can this mean a "bongo fury" tour comp is in the works? Must needed and long overdue.

edit: oh no, I just read that this song was also rehearsed in 1981 as well...

I loved it! It's easily the definitive Ruth Underwood interview, and the realisation of his impact on the people he worked with just grew and grew throughout the three hour ordeal. Amazing stuff.

Must bring this to the top again. If you've not heard it yet....this is mandatory listening for Zappa fans....wonderful stuff, my only complaint is that it's not long enough. The man(do) below knows of what he speaks.

Ooh, I can't wait to listen to this again! Are there any more gems like this floating around out here in cyberspace?
