Piece in todays Irish Times.

There is a reference to rté, the national broadcaster having done a radio doc on FZ - it may have been a book of the week from memory. edit: it was.

putting Frank Zappa into their search bar yields a lot of Zappa related material.

I wonder if FZ sold a lot of CD's in Ireland since 1993

RTE recently had a ten minute reading, each night for one week, from some Zappa book by Barry Miles. I wasn't overly impressed with what I heard, that said however, it was great to hear any mention of FZ.

Re record sales, I'd have my serious doubts. In years of searching I've come across possibly one or two Zappa CDs in highstreet shops, but nothing whatsoever outside of that. I have a reasonably extensive collection of Zappa related stuff, all of it accrued in the Netherlands, London, Prague, New York and San Francisco.

Public consciousness of FZ is practically zero here.
