I'm debating about whether to go to this show or not. It is my daughter's birthday, but she'll be in bed by the time the band hits the stage. Anyone able to sway me? What songs should I expect to hear? What's the best place in a venue to listen/watch from? Will there be seats or can people boogey? Someone help twist my arm, please!

Hey, folks! If you can't make it to the show in Eugene, OR, come on up to Portland to see a new 35mm film print of FRANK ZAPPA'S 200 MOTELS!

PDXFilm.org, a local film blog, got its hands on a print which played last year at The Library of Congress. It's playing one night only, June 12th at 11pm at the preeminent Cinema 21 in Portland, OR. Rated R, but otherwise all are welcome!

It's true that last month the DVD came out, but the audio is atrocious and the aspect ratio is wrong; they even squuuuuished the image. Ugh.

For more info on the film, check out PDXFilm.org and to order tickets, go to cinema21.com and scroll down. Should be a great time and a rare opportunity.
