Stanley Clarke for sure. I think McCartney was a good bass player, but not that high.

Jaco number one in that bunch. The Ox was very good, but not number one.

I do not consider myself very attuned to bass playing, so maybe my opinions are crap... :shock:

Right. Good point Killugly, especially when that list goes so deep as to include the bass player of Stump!. Jaco was great, and I saw Stanley Clarke in the '70s in his prime and he was mesmerizing.
