Very sorry to hear, Plook - hopefully this is just another temporary setback.

Mrs.Plooks brother drove up to our place to hang out with for a few days so that should help her out a lot. She see's her oncologist tomorrow and we should know more, still no word from the nuerologist on when they will see her.

Long day in Riverside, now I'm in San Diego... :|

Mrs.Plook got her results and she has brain cancer, they found (3) one centimeter mass's, they are surrounded by fluid and that is what caused all her new physical and mental problems. She has started a medication that will eleminate the the fluid and the Oncologist said she should see the physical and mental symptoms subside within 48 hours.

They say that it was undetectable when she had her last Pet Scan and it was undetectable in her blood work, that combined with the leg blood clots made it an unlikely diagnosis and easily missed. Her MD was on the right track when he realized there was a neurological aspect due to her physical and mental condition.

The only treatment is radiation, I am not a week man, but I'm just out of gas and don't know what to do...

Oh God, Plook - I am so sorry to hear this! If you need anything at all - day or night, give me a ring! I'm here for you.

If ya wanna talk Plook, anytime at all just call. Can this be beat if caught soon enough and what's the prognosis with therapy??? Mrs. Plook can beat this too, if given the right tools and treatment, right? If anyone can she can. She has a really caring/loving support family around her and she's got you too Plook. I kept thinking it's about time she caught a break...and now this. Damn shock, I don't know what to say brother...keep the faith and hope for the best.

Deep breaths Plook, deep breaths you'll both get through this, it may just take a little longer than was first indicated. You will have to draw deeply on your inner strength to provide the support Mrs P will need to beat this latest ailment.

Get the spare beds ready for K K and PIB

PS Mrs P's doctor isn't a little yellow guy called Nick is he?

Thinking of you both

Thank you all, I got a good nights sleep (found out the results late yesterday and it hit me hard), I'm regrouping and ready for this new challange...I just need to keep my sense of humor up and not fall victim to that dark void that exists where one can't laugh anymore.

Amazingly Mrs.Plook is very strong willed and ready to go, she is glad that you wasn't going nuts and there is a cause of her mental issues, hopefully these will subside rapidly due to the new medication. It is incredible the "cocktail" of medication she takes and we thought maybe that was causing these problems, we should know soon.

Again thank you and those that offered may hear from me, we are very isolated since most people stop coming around and calling when the Big "C" comes to visit. I still can't get over all the people my wife helped through hard times over the years that are missing in action.

Sitting in Long Beach working on reports and doing conferance calls, talk to you all soon...

Don't be deterred by those that have strayed. You have plenty of good people thinking about the 2 of you and hoping nothing but the best for you each and every day! Keep it greasy, Plookster and thanks for the update. They not only help you but also keep those of us informed that are rootin' in your corner!

Take care!

I may hold you to that...

So they are going to use a treatment called a Gamma Knife, I don't know a lot about it but it sounds like they zap the mass's with gamma rays, its a one shot deal but again more side effects, I should know more soon...

You'd better! Sometimes it's nice to have someone come in for a day, who can do all the little things MRS. Plook takes care of. Shopping, cooking, keepin' the place decent and clean. All the stuff men don't pay wives to do, except...well you know, WINK! (I don't do windows) And there's the stuff around the house & yard that you take care of too. You will have to go back on tour sometime. So, if you need someone to take up the slack or just be there for y'all, just call. If in anyway I can be of service to y'all just let me know bro'.
