The Gamma Knife is a fantastic technology and the least invasive one. And you heal really quick too.

I'll be with y'all in spirit Plook. Peace be with you and MRS. Plook on Thursday bro'.

Happy Anniversary, Plook and Mrs. Plook. Remember, it's your anniversary no matter what you're doing or what challenges you are facing. Love isn't a vacation, man.

Wishing you a very happy anniversary and many more to come. We're all "pressing our thumbs" for you as the Germans say.

It was a long day but all went well, Mrs.Plook was a real trooper. I must tell you all what we witnessed yesterday is a true miracle of medicine…non-intrusive brain surgery. The roughest part was having the frame mounted to her head…ouch!...

The mapping MRI showed no other tumors, it is not unusual during this high resolution imaging to find many more smaller masses, there were none… :)

She then was mounted into the Gamma Knife machine, which includes a hood that looks like the top of R2D2 (from Star Wars). The hood has hundreds of glass focusing ports and the laser is shot through them…

The complexity of the mapping and the beam energy and size comes from the irregularity of the tumors, denser areas may need higher energy and/or larger beam size than other areas. She was in the Knife for almost 3 hours… :o

She got up early is walking around talking fine, she has a bit of a head ach but that is to be expected… :!:

Well I’m on a Conference call and should be paying more attention…

Thanks for the update, Plook - that sounds fantastic! Thanks for taking the time to explain the process a bit more. It's great to see you appreciating the marvel behind it! It's even MORE great to hear that Mrs. Plook seemed to be doing well afterwards! Soooo glad to hear that this moment in time is *positive*.

Keep us posted!

That is GREAT news !!!!

I can sense a full recovery just around the corner . :D

More proof that positivism from positive vibes from every possible friend or stranger , presumably , provokes a particular pretense of profound good fortune.

Sounds like a great anniversary gift to the whole Plook clan.

I have to post this again. 8)

Really good news. Don't forget to make up for the "lost vacation" when she is better!
I've heard Europe in summer is quite nice...
