I'm debating a Euro Vacation next summer if I survive the annual spring socialist purge at my company, just need to know when and where and I will do the how...I'm thinking of swinging through Bonny's country too...

I'm struggling, trying to keep it straight, if it wasn't for Izzy I would probably lose it...that little girls love is boundless, I'm hanging on to whatever I can grab onto and trying to recover myself at the same time...that may not make sense but it does to me...Just when it seems easy it's not... :?

Plook- I get it. Out of respect to you and Terri I don't want to compare my experience to yours but the death of a relationship/ family structure is similar emotionally in many ways.

I appreciate anyway any of you find to connect with what I am dealing with, I feel it is my responsibility to attempt to communicate what I know is uncommunicative. I have learned something powerful, yet it can not be described, it is like a cruel joke of life. But if I do not do anything else I will find a way to communicate it to you all, to help you in your lives.

It is several different calls starting with Consistency Call, Staff Call, AT&T we are in trouble call (lol), Engineering Call, AT&T Quality Call, and Verizon Monthly Quality Scorecard call.

The AT&T call was big dins and turned out to be a hum dinger, there were some big freaking players on that call and I was just praying they did not call on me because I was ready to call bullshit on what was being said by the Customer. In the end what we discussed in January was agreed upon with some slight modifications. One AT&T guy was really standing his ground and I know he was full of it, he gave in... :smoke:

I hope I'm not overstepping boundaries again, but I'll share this experience with you. My grandfather had a stroke in 1990, and continued to live until 1995. I was off discovering myself in Virginia at the time, so I was not around to help. My dad had to go out every day, and take care of my grandfather for 5 years. Change his diaper, and get him out of bed to sit in the chair during the day. Go back in the evening to put him back in bed. I guess what I'm trying to say here is this. Is it best for our love ones to spend a lengthy period of suffering, or should we be grateful if they go quickly with less suffering? Personally, I would hate to be a burden to my family.

Hmmm.
The missus and I have my mother in law living with us - for the last 10 years.
She's got MS and is wheelchair bound.
Whilkst we do some of the 'safety' work, the nurses come in twice a day to get her in / out of bed and clean her up.
Its no fun, but her quality of life like this is just enough to make it worth it.

I'm not disputing taking care of your family in that situation. I would. Just saying, that I personally wouldn't want to put my family through that. I applaud you for your extra efforts in making her life livable. 8)

My mother on the other hand has said the same as you - she want no burden on anyone and has probably already booked a slot in a home!
For me, I'd worry that my kids would get me back for all the hard times they think I gave them.

I would have to say you are both doing a fine job, hypotheticals aside… I apparently am having trouble keeping my self square…Had the Daughter and some other young women over for dinner and everything went nice. Then I decide to drink myself in to oblivion later that night, I locked myself in the garage and drink and drank and listened to sad sad music.

Now I am running behind for my trip because yesterday I wasn’t worth a shit, so I get to skip my round of golf today and stay home and do stuff I should have done yesterday…I’m a complete idiot…

Don't beat yourself up so much bro. You're going through some rough shit. I for one, think you are strong enough to make it.

But, I'm actually good at Frisbee golf. There's just nowhere to play here. :(
