When I hear Jimmy Page now it sounds like some 15 year old rockin' out in his bedroom.

NPR listed seven cover versions of Stairway that were worth listening too to commemorate the anniversary but FZ's version wasn't among them. Boo!

It really blew me away in 1988 when I heard it the first time. For some minutes I was unsure whether it was a joke, but I fell off the chair when the horn section when through the Page solo note for note. That was overwhelming and funny, and extremely clever.

BTW: LZ IS great for horns. I saw a Danish Jazz band the other night play some LZ and King Crimson. A solid horn section (with a sousaphone and baritone sax) sounds more heavy than Jimmy Page!!!

As much as I love FZ's Stairway, I also gotta give it up for the other DZ, Dread Zeppelin.
