I enjoyed the written interview, the audio was a little more revealing. (thanks for posting)
Napoleon has always hammed it up on stage, it's what he does....As for his brush with the DZPZ tribute band, it's just business. I'm sure the "mothers" enjoyed the chance to get paid to once again revisit the music of FZ in a live setting, and a lucky few were able to see these legends (to us anyway) perform FZ's music live. I certainly enjoy the tour de Frank DVD regularly, and they appear to be having a good time. Napoleons interview was after all a vehicle to promote this years incarnation of the Grandmothers and his CD of what Frank heard at the Red Noodle in Hawaii, (I'm sure were all rushing out to find that "yeah right") It's business like most things on this planet, scratch the surface and surprise surprise it's just business, it may be music, politics, religion or war, even a little food for the poor, it all comes down to business.

I don't know how many Zappa "tribute" bands are out there fighting the good fight, but I hope they are making enough money to keep doing it, without a lawsuit at every turn.

I also hope the ZFT can keep on keeping on "living on reproduceable data" and releasing FZ's music as they see fit.

Thats enough, starting to sound a little like a leg humping poodle named Gary.........
