The 24th album from Mike, You Must Be This Tall, will be released on 27 August 2013. It can be pre-ordered now at The Mike Keneally Store, complete with an instant mp3 or FLAC download and digital booklet.

Go here: http://jamplify.com/dmf8Rd

Says Mike: "I play a lot of the instruments myself, and also had some killer assistance on key tracks from Bryan Beller, Marco Minnemann, Joe Travers, Rick Musallam, Missy Andersen and Andy Partridge (Andy plays guitar on the song "Indicator," an additional composition from the songwriting sessions that resulted in Wing Beat Fantastic)."

Ordered!

I just got to see The Aristocrats with Bryan Beller, Marco Minnemann and Guthrie Goven and it was one of the best trios I have had the privilege to see in a good long while. Guthrie Goven is sickeningly good. Beller + Minnemann = best rhythm section on the planet!

Just got it. Typically awesome! The vibe reminds me a lot of Wing Beat Fantastic and Elastic. Can't wait to hear this material get the live performance treatment when Mike Keneally gets his own band back on the road.

After2 listenings I'm ambivalent. It's pretty densely packed stuff with lots going on at once. Portions are great; others not. I trust MK though. I'll probably love it in a while!

Great album. It's all over the place, and that's what I like about Mike.
This probably deserves it's own topic, but Sluggo! is finally getting the reissue treatment. You get four options, two in physical media. I would have preferred if they went with just the remastered CD + a DVD of alternate mixes & live/studio footage exactly how they did it with Hat & Dust Speck. I don't give a shit about DVD-audio and the four different ways(MLP/PCM/DTS) to listen to it. I'll probably suck it up and go with the super-deluxe version for $50 since there's a complete live BFD show thrown in on CD. Been waiting for this for quite some time.
