I've been guilty of not really taking a lot of interest in the bit part players, and sometimes not even the big time players.
So, if its not a dumbass idea, I'm gonna put a picture of 'players' and a line of info about them, so I know who is who on vids etc and on album covers.
Starting with (in no order whatsoever)....

CHAD WACKERMAN
Drummer with FZ from 1981 to 1988, one of only three drummers throughout Zappa's career were able to play "Mo and Herb's vacation", and "The Black Page" successfully.

That tidbit about Wackerman being only 1 or 3 drummers able to play The Black Page and Mo 'N Herb's Vacation - how many Zappa drummers attempted those two songs after he wrote them?

Something I find interesting about Denny Walley is that he first showed up with Geronimo Black, a band created by Jimmy Carl Black. This group, having three ex-MOI members - Jimmy Carl Black, Bunk Gardner & Buzz Gardner - would, after their first and only album, quickly change their name to The Grand Mothers. Anyway, if I heard it right, this is where Frank Zappa first heard Denny too and impressed, invited him to record what became One Size Fits All.

I think I saw a clip on youtube where Denny Walley says he grew up in Lancaster and was friends with Frank's brother, Carl (or Bobby).
