The Adrian Belew Power Trio is coming back to Harlows on November 11th. It's on a Tuesday night during what will be a busy work week but I'm planning on going.

The Experience Hendrix Tour hits the west coast this fall including Kapt. Kiirk's backyard at the Mondavi Center in Davis October 16. No Dweezil this time and overall not as thrilled with this lineup as some of the past tours but still some pretty impressive talent - Eric Johnson, Zakk Wylde, Buddy Guy, etc. I might check this out given the proximity.

Eric Johnson also has a show with Mike Stern in Redding in late January. I always wanted to see Stern and EJ is always very good.

I used to love going to MLB games but I haven't been to one in about nine years (Giants). I was a big A's fan growing up and started going to at least one game a year starting in 1971. I still remember a lot about that game. The A's beat the Tigers 8-7. Starting pitchers were Chuck Dobson and Mickey Lolich. It's funny that I can remember more details about games I saw as a kid than I can about later games. Walking into a major league ballpark at 9 or 10 years of age made quite an impression.

I went with my family. Ages 11 months to 80 years young! Angels win, in a barn-burner, 8 - 6.

Yay! I have two, count 'em, two working bass guitar gigs coming up. One is a 4th of July block party in Huntington Beach SoCal(16th annual). On Wed. July 9th I'll be the house bassist @ the Tumbleweeds Blues Jam, located at 21094 Beach Blvd. in HB(one block from the beach). Bass rig and drum kit available for all jammers. Guitarist bring your own amp.

Living Colour is in Petaluma October 3rd (a Friday Night). Once I get through the next couple months planned activities I'll consider this one. LC has always been a favorite but I've only seen them once and that was at an Experience Hendrix show a few years ago so they weren't playing their music. Petaluma might be a cool place to hang out at too.

I'm fine for SLO - looking forward to it. I think I'll be OK for Vegas too but it would be helpful to know where we're staying, etc. so I can plan on my share of the lodging and other expenses. I assume we are planning to drive? PIB says he is going to be there 9/10-9/14.

Yep, flying is a lot faster. I've made the drive many times though as my sister has lived most of her adult life in Vegas. I have kind of a nostalgic vision of cruising through the desert. Flying = less time driving and more time in Vegas.

They played at the Fair less than a mile from my apartment last summer. I should have went. I did see them in 1980 though. They headlined a show with Cheap Trick and the Pat Travers Band. Somebody else opened - it might have been Stoneground.

I saw them in '76 at the Long Beach arena, with Kansas and Ted Nugent.
