Cal Schenkel & The Grande Mothers Unite for a special evening of Art & Music!!!<br><br>Hey folks,<br>I run a small art gallery in Carrboro NC (Right next to Chapel Hill). <br><br>Temple Ball Gallery is pleased to announce the upcoming art exhibit by famed Zappa artist Cal Schenkel.<br>Cal will be exhibiting classic mothers era works as well as newer pieces. The exhibit will run from June 10 - July 7 at Temple Ball.<br><br>The Opening reception will be held on Friday June 10th from 6 pm - 9 pm. Cal will be there for the full night.<br><br>Limited edition exhibit prints are currently in works and I'm sure Cal will create something super spiffy.<br><br> <br><br>The Grande Mothers Re-Invented featuring Don Preston, Roy Estrada & Napoleon Murphy Brock have also agreed to come and perform!!! ;D<br><br>Show time and date for the Grande Mothers is Saturday June 18th at the ArtsCenter of Carrboro (Located right across the street from Temple Ball Gallery) at 8 pm.<br><br>Cal will also be designing a llimited edition print for the Grande Mothers show as well as limited edition t-shirts.<br><br>A pre or post show reception with Cal & the band will be held at the Gallery (More details to follow).<br><br>The art exhibit is Free & open to the publlic and will provide a great opportunity to purchase some classic Zappa era works as welll as meet Cal in person.<br><br>Tickets for The Grande Mothers performance are $25 (The price is a bit higher than we'd like but the theater only holds 330 seats).<br><br>More info will be posted as it becomes available.
