another thread 'bout this doesn't hurt anybody I guess.<br><br>here we go, just a grab of what I can think of (and this is a favorites only list, if i should name all the bands i got a cd from, we'd be sitting here for a long time...)<br><br>slayer, fugazi, shellac, velvet underground, bowie, emperor, tool, karate, motorpsycho, napalm death, masada, miles davis, eric dolphy, girls against boys, pantera, type o negative, ruins, fantômas, cradle of filth, sonic youth (!), 16 horsepower (!), woven hand, charles mingus, the make-up, pearl jam, QOTSA, kyuss (!), leatherface, godspeed you black emperor, mogwai, nick cave, prince, autechre, aphex twin, amon tobin, in the woods, pre-roots sepultura, etc, etc.

I used to be a big fan of The Residents, though I haven't heard anything from them i years.  also liked Eugen Chadbourne and , of course, Wildman Fischer

How about the Guano Apes (check um out), Creed, Sabbath, Purple, Budgie, Chicken Shack et al, Guess im just an old 70s rock fan when it comes down to it (sigh) those were the days and im not talking Mary Hopkins here ;D<br><br>Although the Guanos are fairly current, they are a German band i think.

Maby I should go get it.<br><br>My favorite is Go Plastic. I think it is the most funny and advanced album from him.

Trust me and pick up Feed Me Weird Things.  Alot of people pass it off as a novelty record because it's so weird, but that's just him.  "Squarepusher Theme" and "Smedley's Melody" are his best tracks in my opinion.

Yeah, crazy song.  The shit I'm talking about is a different kind of weird though.  "Smedley's Melody"<br> is frantic upright bass noodling smothered in random drums.
