Hi,
First of all a question to Dweezil: Thanks a lot for taking care of the legacy after your father. I have enjoyd both your ZPZ concerts at Centrum Scene in Oslo (you are aware of that, compared to the population, Norway is the country in the world where there are sold most Zappa cd's). Will you visit Oslo next year? Two sold out concert two years in a row should say something about your popularity - in addition the critics were very good. I sincerely hope that you will take this under concideration and come back to Norway soon. I will at least buy tickets next time too.

Then a question to Gail: I can in some way understand that you want to keep full control over all that is written on the web - and to practice the copyright with regards to pictures of covers etc. But what I don' understand is why you are working so hard to shut down all alternative Zappa sites on the web - and why you are forbidding any sites to use pictures of the covers of Frank's records on their sites. All they are doing is to promote Franks music and recordings. That is free advertising! And like all other fans (I have now allmost 120 Zappa cd's, so I might be one of his biggest fans in Norway) I am obviously interesting in learning all I can about Frank. As far as I can see, to allow alternative Zappa sites is a win/win situation - where you are the no. 1 winner.

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Best regards,
Jørgen R. Karlaug, Slemmestad/Norway

To "Lumpy Gravy": If you have been ditched by your girlfriend, don't take the agression out on serious honest people here at the forum.

See how LG mocks the "funny" Norweigan?
That is because the Norweigan's have turned the tables on the arrogant Swedes. It reminds me of how the New York guys used to treat Jersey

Yes, those New Yorkers all live here in Jersey now, driving up property taxes and saying "yo" all the time...

Hi, Sorry "Lumpy Gravy" - I did't see the sarcasm in your reply.
It says in the headline that FAQ is for questions you would like answered by the ZFT - and in my stupidity I beleived it.
But, on the other hand, I was lucky enough to meet and get a chance to have a little chat with Dweezil during his last visit to Oslo, and he seemed to be genuinelye concerned about Franks fans - new or old ones (with my 44 years, I guess that I am in the last category), so it wouldn't surprise me if he looks into this site from time to time. So let me say that once more to avoid any misunderatandings; I have very big respect for Dweezil.
Regading Gail, to me she seems to have made it her life commitment to shut down all Zappa sites on the net, allthoug most of them only have one purpose in mind; To promote Franks music. Do you people really think that this is right - I mean: Do you agree with her?
The more people protesting against this, the more she might understand and appreciate the general opinion out here.

But please do not change this subject into a discussion about sarcasm - Norwegians against Swedes etc. Best regards - and a nice day to all of you Zappa fans out there!

no problem.
the issues gail has with some zappa-sites (she's not trying to shut down all of them...), have been discussed here over and over. nothing came out of it. some people agree with her, some people don't. and, like so often, it ends with people arguing.

here's one of the previous threads: shutting down killuglyradio.com

SWEDES ARE SMARTER TNAN NORWEGIANS??? Exquse me for asking the question, but on wich planet have yoy been living of for the past decades? No doubt - the Vikings rules... The Swedes are only envi on us Norwegians because of our oil, our landscape, our fjords and mountains and our girsl. Just ask Dweezil - where did he enjoy most to plas for his last ZPZ shows in Scandinavia? I wouldn't be surprised if the answer was Oslo.

Anyone know anything about any new releases coming up soon?

Best regards.

I've heard nothing. That ZPZ DVD looks pretty good.
