A long, long time ago, when I was a little kid riding around the neighborhood on my bicycle (10 or 12-ish) I remember going past the "hippies'" house down the street and there was Zappa playing on their huge-ass speakers which they had out on the lawn. Frank was saying something to the effect of "..to be in this band you have to have a twelve inch penis". I've never heard that since. Now I'm a hard-core completist and I have a LOT of Zappa, I gave a decade of my life to strictly Zappa listening but I've never come across that quote. I know that there's still lots of FZ that I've not heard yet (Jebus knows I'm trying!) so my question is.... where the fuck is that from?! Does anyone know where that line lives? Possibly on one of the YCDTOSA's that I don't have?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, for almost 10 years all I listened to was Frank. Then one night while flipping through the channels half-asleep I came across the Letterman show just as he was introducing PRIMUS... they played in penguin suits and totally blew me away. The next day I wasn't only listening to Zappa anymore. That's what that means.

And no, that Tom Waits thing isn't it. It was Frank talking about the band (possibly as he was introducing them or crediting them) and then he went on a rant about "if you want to be in this here band you have to have a twelve inch dick" sorta thing. I know it has to be out there somewhere.

not just a little extra diologe in a concert somewere had troubles myself before looking for where Zappa said Ground control to captain tom in concert and found it one day

You won't like this answer, but....
There is an "unofficial" concert tape, where one of the band members (ALAN ZAVOD, I think...not sure) wore a penis mask on stage.
Frank sings, "I like the drums. I like the bass. I like the guy with the dick on his face."
Damned if I can remember which concert, though.
He mentions it a few times throughout the evening, so you may have heard one of those references.
