what does this logo stand for?

Image

I guess bonny created it, and started using it as her signature, but recently I've seen more members having it as a signature image.
we even have a new member who's using it as a username (SJDFC).
the meaning behind it has probably been explained somehwere, but I must have missed it.

just asking out of curiosity. 8)

I bet she's going to make one for isaac too!

If you mean a support button, I'll take that bet.

Wouldn't that be a protest in favor of global warming?

Don't mind me: I'll just be over here in my corner...

Nah. We had spring in January for two subsequent years, and summer in mid-April. The canonical summer is usually filled with rain, in 2006 5 weeks of rain every day. Past three years the summers have been very hot for a week, and very grim for the next 5. Summer just won't come at the normal time anymore, and that has to do with global warming.

You can be happy in that you've always kept your cool, your demeanor of positivity and support and helpfulness and much else through a year of a lot of activity here and elsewhere, activity that tends to bring out the worst in people.
You've kept your online-presence-sweetness running around trying to help put out fires all over the place, smoothing things over and being the best sport all around, BBP.
In trying social situations.
Not your fault that some people don't want to play.

trouble? what trouble? I started this thread because I was curious about what 'sjdfc' meant, and why several members had bonny's logo as a signature pic. jabba gave me the answer, but for some reason he has since edited his post.

Check out my own Zappa forum for the full explanation. You could've PMed me, or, like FOWL did a few weeks ago, ask in a forum I'm more likely to visit so I could've replied with a silly joke and PMed you the key.

ok, so now it's my fault that jimmie d got banned a second time?

oh, jeez. I could say a lot about such a ridiculous accusation, but I won't.
because, I really don't care. not at all.
let me just say this: if people get banned from this, the frank zappa messageboards, it's of nobodys' fault but their own.

get it?

I understand from your posts that you are having problems with "getting" something. Something I'd love to name, but unfortunately with the current forum bossing that might just be lethal for my account. And as I've been proud member since 2002 I'm not willing to risk that.

(Besides, Mikey's closed similar threads before... it would just be a waste of time. Feel free to discuss this all at the PackardGoose forum!)

I actually asked several people what the logo meant and I was going to start a thread asking.
How can wanting to know something "stir up trouble"?

Personally, I think having one troublemaker makes everyone hyper.
All it takes is one.
That's too bad too.The forum was a fun place until some maniac decided to go around blasting people trying to kill what he called "kumbaya".
God forbid we'd get along  .

I wouldn't read so much into everything, myself.

well, dove, forget about the idjits... some of us think of certain people as idjits, some of us think they're ok...

it seems to me, that some people like to think of this forum as their own.

even though they already have a forum of their own.

this, the frank zappa messageboards, has its rules and it has its moderator.

and, if that's not ok with you... why don't you just go somewhere else...?

and, if this place is too boring... well, it's only what its members make it out to be.

what's the big fucking deal?

here's the deal...
lumpy (for whatever reason) has something against jimmie d---at least that's my take on it.
jimmie has been banned from the forum. bbp made a nice symbol for him (sorry to talk out of school, beeps). lumpy could have pm'd her about it, but chose not to. so, he makes his own thread about it. jimmie comes back under a new name, all is well for awhile, but i guess if most of us here could figure out he was back, so could admin, so he's been banned again.
lumpy, bbp already addressed the fact that you could have gone to her, but you didn't, and that's what i meant by "stirring up trouble"-- you weren't curious about it so much as you had a pretty good idea already.

and then you "secretly" mention another forum....man, you didn't even like it there, so here you go again, stirring it up by referring to not only one, but two incarnations. there are at least a couple of people who have their own forums and mention them here--why not go after them? because one is "invitation only"? you were invited, but you didn't seem to like it, so why bring it up?

to anyone involved with said forums who might be upset about me talking about this, i'm sorry, and once again, i apologize to you, bbp.

btw, lumpy and cat.....real subtle nods toward swifty. you think he really cares? besides, you know he's not the only person here who says things you may not agree with. and perhaps says them in a way you don't like. no one is here to kiss your ass or treat you with kid gloves.

Why do I see a picture of Peter Jackson's version of Gollum in my head whenever I read about half the posts on this forum?

I will leave this subject, by quoting myself:

Lumpy Gravy wrote:

I didn't know it was such a secret! honest.

and, for the girls*, I would like to add:
"well... I know when I'm licked... all over..."

*except for catpuke.

 OMG! LOL, kiss ass! Now THAT'S reading too much into things for sure.
A lot of people say things here all the time I don't agree with but most have some sense of tact. Omg.. What are you even trying to say.
No one cares about anything swifty related, lol. But I will say this, the ONLY PEOPLE who can be his "friends" are passive and easily manipulated.
Hmmm, who's doing the ass kissing here....

it looks like a nazi emblem of some sort to me, the colours are just right and it certainly has a martial tone. I'm all for freedom of speech though, so i don't mind hitleresque artwork on the forum
