I don't feel roxy is in the top five. I know manymany zappa fans rate it such, but not I.

I think the point Jay P is trying to make is, Roxy And Elsewhere is one of the essential Zappa masterpieces, as are are many in his vast catalog. The fact that a self-professed Zappaphile like Isaac hasn't heard it is mindblowing.

I somewhat see what yall are saying, but he's still young, and there's no need to plow through the whole catalogue instantaneously, that's all there is, I'm still a few shy, and in no current rush to remedy that, it's going to be a sad world when there's no new frank zappa produced albums for me to hear.

Specifically, I stated that I had just bought the CD. You misinterpreted it as "I just got the CD", or that I have "just heard the CD." In fact, I did hear the album a few years ago, I just haven't gotten around to purchasing it.

First of all, I don't live in an area where Zappa albums are easy to get, and it's hard to find certain albums online at a good price. Also, I do not consider any album in Zappa's catalog to be more essential from another. They're all essential, so there's no point in making a fuss over specific albums.

Secondly, although I may not have heard all of the official albums, I have heard a majority of the songs through concert tapes and such. I just haven't had the time or the money to efficiently sit down and buy every item in the catalog.

Now, try to slow down on the crack for a minute and read this phrase carefully: I need some of my money for other things. I think owning 75% of the material released before FZ's death (not to mention the total amount of Z-music that I've heard in the past) is enough for me to call myself an authority, don't you?

Now since you wasted your time to start a psychotic thread like this, why don't you head on back to your padded cell for a few minutes, so I can carry on a normal conversation without being interrupted by your frequent bursts of psychotic stupidity.

And believe me, this will be the last time I ever announce whenever I buy another Zappa album on this message board again. I'm not even going to tell you which albums I have in my collection. You'll just have to guess at how much of them make up the 75% of material Zappa himself released before his death.

I honestly can't remember. But if I did, I wouldn't try to explain the circumstances behind hearing such a great album to a psychotic meathead like yourself. Banging my head against a brick wall would accomplish the same thing as attempting to have an intelligent conversation with an idiot like you while you're waiting for the men in white to come take you back to the funny farm.

You don't own the record but you have heard it but don't remember when or how? hahahaaaaa RETARDS ARE FUNNY!!

Maybe it was the random gayboy tranny you picked up down there in Gay West. HE/SHE just happened to have the CD in their purse and you guys listened to it while taking turns PLOOOOOOOOOOOKING each other!
