I had a few things he did with his "Mothers of Invention" band when I was 12, maybe 13, then I got older, matured, and got into the real stuff like Journey, Styx and Bad Company.

Zappa was a phlegm-o-holic...
he just loved the taste of phlegm 'n boogers

He used to take a vacuum cleaner on tour just so he could suck
all the boogers out of the band's nostrils

Any surplus snot would be smeared all over the windows of his Volvo

he almost wrecked his nose with the vacuum cleaner nozzle..
but refused to let them operate, sayin';
"I don't wanna go through life with a tiny nose...fuck that!'

interesting fact; Zappa was the reincarnation of Nostra-damus
he would often channel mischievous entities at band meetings
what a hoot he was!

I thought Zappa was a jazz composer from hell.

Didn't FZ also at one of his concerts shit on stage and then a bunch of weasels came to rip his flesh, who were eventually scared off by Don Preston's loud keyboard noises? The result of which left FZ in wheelchair for a while and some of the weasels had damaged his vocal cords.

He was so drugged out that he called in an orcestra to play random notes which he called "The Orange Mudshark" after the hallusinations he had on LSD. He also recording himself talking to pianos as "Lumpy Pudding". This guy was obviously a fucking hippie! I hear he also wanted little johnny to but albums with a guy who had a chainsaw in between his legs on the front cover. Fuck him!

Just because F.Z. dumped Alice Cooper, believing guys wearing eye make-up was a passing fad, and spent the next five years hiding out in numerous motels across the country, desperatly orchestrating rock music to prove his point, is no reason to claim he's died 7 times over the past 20 years.

FZ covers of Stravinsky's Petrushka and later Ravel's Boléro were a disaster from an artistic standpoint.
Both composers' heirs had no other choice than to sue the ZFT.
And fortunately the tracks could finally be removed from the albums named 'Tis The Season To Be Jelly and The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life.

At first I bought the 2 albums with the ugly covers.
But as soon as I realized my mistake, I immediately sold them on eBay.

Today I have the new albums with the good taste restored :D

By the way, DO NOT EVER BUY ZAPPA VINYLS: the vinyl mixes are so different.
Always prefer an approved remaster on CD, it is evidently better.
Only dumbasses and sm freakz would like to hear crackles and pops.
