It was reading, writing, listening (to music), and watching (movies). I didn't have a fifth.

studious! ever play any sports, even if it was like swimming or . . . archery? what do you like to read -- I imagine fantasy and fiction over non-fiction, generally. But pace-wise, do you like action movies or 'escape scenarios'--fantasy/sci fi things that are often more nuanced?

To all the "I-know-better-than-Isaac" types: Please bring your fantastic knowledge to Wikipedia to the benefit of the average Internet surfer (such a person does not, I am sorry to reveal, end up on this forum).

The only drawback for you is that personal attacks and unsourced and opinionated stuff are not welcome. 8)

Expect to see Freak Out! on Wikipedia's front page down the line. It's currently listed as a featured article, and currently nominated as a future "Today's Featured Article". 8)

Today's featured article [Main Page]

Frank Zappa (1940–1993) was an American composer, electric guitarist, record producer and film director. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Zappa wrote rock, jazz, electronic, orchestral, and musique concrète works. He also directed feature-length films and music videos, and designed album covers. Zappa produced almost all of the more than 60 albums he released with the band Mothers of Invention and as a solo artist. His 1966 debut album with the Mothers of Invention, Freak Out!, combined songs in conventional rock and roll format with collective improvisations and studio-generated sound collages. His later albums shared this eclectic and experimental approach, irrespective of whether the fundamental format was one of rock, jazz or classical. He wrote the lyrics to all his songs, which—often humorously—reflected his skeptical view of established political processes, structures and movements. He was a strident critic of mainstream education and organized religion, and a forthright and passionate advocate for freedom of speech and the abolition of censorship. Zappa was a highly productive and prolific artist and he gained widespread critical acclaim. Many of his albums are considered essential in rock history, and he is regarded as one of the most original guitarists and composers of his time; he remains a major influence on musicians and composers. (more...)

FZ mentioned in the Hippie entry (not as one himself). Maybe someone could comment on his lyrics about it...

I don't know the mindset in other countries , but would expect the same as it is here in the USA.

Doctors and nurses wear specific clothing in accordance with their chosen profession.

Lawyers and Judges are almost never caught without a suit on.

Most police officers have the shaved head look.

Blue collar workers wear , well , blue collars as opposed to professional white collar workers.

Jocks and sports fans wear a jersey with their favorite players numbers on it.

Musicians often wear shirts displaying the manufactuers logo of their favorite gear.

And so on , and so on. The chosen ' uniform ' to help these poor folks fit in to what the think they need to survive.

Somehow the word ' Plasticity ' falls right in line with these sheeple .
