With yesterday being the 1st anniversary of Neil's passing, I want to take this moment to finally offer my condolences to Sabby, and to all of you who knew, and got to like, him. Although I never knew/talked with Neil, from what I've read over the past year, that is quite alot of you.

He was a modest guy. I never knew him too well, and only learned after his passing of all the cool stuff he had done in his life.

Thanks sweetie for the nice sentiment. This is a rough weekend for me and it makes it a little easier, when there is someone to help me through it. It means a lot to me that there is no jealousy in your mind towards Neil and I am sure he would be pleased that we met each other and became friends and companions.

Feets, you would have liked Neil, everybody who ever met him here did. He was a thoroughly likable guy with no enemies that I ever knew and he sure did love the blues and Zappa.

Sorry I never managed to get online to chat with you kids over the weekend, have been away as you probably guessed. Rest assured I was thinking about Neil...think about him an awful lot as it goes....he's never far away. Yeah, people who didn't know him very well, would have really liked him. I think I've mentioned that wild laugh of his before on here....he used to have me in stitches. Great bloke, with an amazing mind filled with musical knowledge as well....shared a lot of music with me and introduced me to many of the artists I listen to now.
Sabs, hope you're doin' okay darlin'. I'm here if you need me, as always.

Stu was a very nice fellow. He would chat with you for hours on end, and never leave, you'd be the one to excuse yourself out of the conversation...

I will always regret not having met him personally when I had the opportunity, but we did meet online very often, here and at soulseek... In fact he was the first member I ever met in the original (better) ZF chat.

We miss you Mr hop!

a YEAR already ? ! ..

ok a stuie story; stu (neil) kept on to me about how he was gonna make this zappa wall it was taking some time to reach fruition as he would complain about the price of ink and how much ink 'fukkin frank' used up and he'd have to go out in the snow trudging across th tundra to get another ink cartridge etc. etc.

so it took a while but finally one day he announced it was DONE !

anyways , a year on i still miss him heaps, miss his humour, miss his chat

And over on the right, his other favorite artist, Mr Buddy Guy on a huge poster. He always said that the Buddy was the absolute best guitarist. "Better than Frank?" I would say. And then we would "argue" about it. Much as he loved FZ, he thought a lot of Buddy.

Stewie was a great guy, and good to chat with. Could always find him in chat, even if no-one else was around. He had such a huge Soulseek library too.....all of it great stuff. Miss him.

I am always sad to hear of the passing of a member of the brotherhood of Zappa. Wherever he is right now, he'll have great music to accompany him :-)

I'd just like to add my humble entry to this tribute.

I've been absent from this board for most of the last couple of years, and never met Neil, however we crossed paths herein on many occasions.

He seemed like a wonderful fellow, and my heartfelt (albeit belated) condolences go out to his loved ones.

why'd I say that?

Maybe because ol' Stude sold me a car 8 years ago and RIPPED ME OFF!
IT WAS A PIECE OF SHIT!

Leaked oil.........needed new ball joints etc. etc.

Then there was that awful smell in the trunk....WHAT THE FUCK!
