Could someone please delete all of Trendmonger's nonsense posts in the albums section? It's definitely time for a moderator to step in and end this shit.

They actually did delete his stuff once before, the last time he did this, so there's hope.

Actually, there's still a boatload of his unanswered "poll" threads clogging up page 10.

Please do not fuck with Carl's artistic intent. He did not make this masterpiece for some snotty kid to abuse it for self promotion on the internet.

I'll notify his family if you don't retract those posts. Otherwise they will sue your ass off!

That's right you guessed right I'm Ed Palermo. No actually I'm Gary Titone Staff Columnist from http://www.cuccurullo.tv. and by this stage in life I've seen over 100 live Zappa related events. The most heart warming response I can say about Ed Palermos arrangements of Frank Zappa compositions is that he truly does a fine job of putting the so called "Eye Brows" on it. I hope that one day Ed has the opportunity to bring his Big Band to play directly for the ZFT. And remember if you see me at one of the shows my name is not Ed Palermo.

There was a time and place I was really enjoying those Ed Palermo shows
and that the arrangements he was doing provided a view into the composers canon
from a Big Band perspective that still had "some" and the operative keyword is SOME FZ eyebrows on it.

When Keneally stepped in as a guest it certainly helped but even on that occasion there was a Ed Palermo
in the air in his opening monologue that told you too much of Ed and not enough of FZ. I can forgive that
for we all can get a little self winded at times but when his arrangements speak over the long haul
there is a bit of Georgie Porgie to it. Do you know who Georgie Porgie is?
Now you see it now you don't. I met this guy yesterday and saw a very entertaining show he gave
at a Fall Festival at my daughters school. I can see how he did really well at Jennifer Lopez big birthday bash.
That Marc Anthony guy sure knows how to throw a good party for his wife. Georgie Porgie is a very entertaining magician.

Here is the problem as the amount of arrangements Ed Palermo was bringing to the stage grew and grew I started noticing
it was all a bit too much Ed Palermo's eyebrows and not enough of FZs. I like Big Band and I realize lots of Zappa fans
love this but after seeing Ed Palermo no less than 25 times it's all a bit too much Ed Palermo for my taste and FZs
so called eyebrows are dissolving more and more as Ed continues on his path.

BTW that whole would the real Ed Palermo please stand up schtick is from
Zappa fans repeatedly coming up to me at Zappa Cover Band shows a decade or so ago saying
hello Ed Palermo it's a pleasure to meet you, I loved your shows when will Keneally be with you again.
One guy said Why did Ike Willis not make it to that show. I saw his name on the marque at one of the
Bottom Line shows and when Ike was not there it was so disappointing, why was Ike not there?
I went along with it for a few minutes.

Don't worry the trend of Zappa fans and mistaken identity is not new.
Backstage at Zappa's Universe Cal Schenkel came up to me and said Hello Ahmet.
Oh well never mind. Another fun story Conceptually Linked is where I've been with high profile musicians out to dinner before a show
and fans who were going to that show were so excited to be seeing the show and started talking to me at my table because
my table was also talking about that show. These fans did not even know one of the high profile musicians in the band
siting and eating his Lasagna. No it was not Alice Copper without his stage makeup but it is a guy who certainly knows how to groove to a Rat Tomago.

ROXY DVD NEWS (old news from '05)

Joe Travers interviewed by Gary Titone (Privacy, July 2005)
It's sitting in the vault. Waiting for a budget to do it properly. Basically the film footage, the negatives were transferred by Frank in the '80s using '80s technology. What we want to do is go back to the original negatives and do it in High Definition and then create a 5.1 mix from the original masters so that we have surround sound as well as Frank's 2 channel stereo mix. Once we get all that together, then we need to cut the program. Edit the program together, camera angles, what shows, what we are going to include from what shows or include all the shows. I have no idea what Dweezil and Gail want to do. It's great stuff, but the process of just getting to that point is going to cost a lot of money and take a lot of time.

That's so 2005. We're way past that.

mongerisms...

It's hard making Cuccurullo a household name. Enjoy. Many Duran Duran fans of 2001 are having the same troubles that some of the Zappa fans from the 70's. "They Don't Realize That There's Notes Involved". Take a journey into the land of Conceptual Continuity for Warren Cucurullo has been doing some amazing things since his human Juke Box tour with Zappa.
